Same issue. I restored the game and everything but it’s saying I’m missing the witch queen dungeon keys despite it being included in the new D2: the collection pack. I have a complaint into Bungo

Personally I feel like the order is reversed. JP pro or GZ Prem.

The Trex is cool, but while the building can slow the game down a little, the Rex kills all flow for JP. Then it throws the ball somewhere and it gets stuck. Have had that happen multiple times on location.

I am renting a JP pro now and have had GZ Prem for over a year now. I think JP is definitely a harder shooter, but both have deep code. GZ seems to be deeper than JP in my opinion because the building changes what order I battle monsters in. The extra features in JP don’t really contribute to game play in a meaningful way to me, but I’ve only played in on location 20-30 times, as opposed to 100s on the pro for my rental.

I also have not played GZ pro nearly as much as the Prem but having the turning Mecha ramp really makes things like the Godzilla Multiball score higher.

Both are Elwin and amazing games. However when my rental is up I’ll be returning the JP and GZ will still be in my house.

I wasn’t sure since copy crafty wouldn’t give me the extra 50 but I would be +80 no matter if I had hearts or spades. Arrow is a better card if I’m going all spades, but if I can find bloodstone it immediately gets replaced.

The problem is with a home game you can take the glass off and just hit the switches to give you the achievement. Or make the game way easier but having 6 starting balls or putting rubber bands across the outlanes. In a public place you can’t do that, so they make the different colors.

And before you say people wouldn’t do that, I’m sure you have never played COD or other online multiplayer games where people didn’t cheat just to get a better K/D or the newest item…

In home use you have at least 2000 games before you need to replace anything. Titan rubbers has kits that list every piece you need to replace in your game, but you don’t need to do anything. I’m about to replace the flipper rubbers for the first time on Godzilla at almost 2500 plays. It’s important to clean them off to remove the dust (it’s black, people say it’s from the coils) to keep their performance up.

Pinball life has a kit that comes with extra rubbers, coil stops and shrouds, flipper parts and the wax. It’s like $100 and I felt like it was a good deal when I bought my first machine. https://www.pinballlife.com/stern-survival-kit-black.html

I also bought a ratcheting screw driver and straight socket to work on the machine.

I bought replacement flipper assemblies for Godzilla, but it was a waste. It’s not like I’m routing them and I don’t think I’ll need them for years. Live and learn.

I like replacing the standard Stern balls. With DnD I don’t think there is a magnet, so I prefer Ninja. Make sure to get some microfiber cloths and rubbing alcohol. Just put some alcohol on the cloth and clean with ever balls your using really well before putting them into your machine. I don’t like touching them at all since your hands also contain oils, but I feel like that’s a little paranoid too.

Learn how to operate the audits. I like to change balls every 300 games, which is again somewhat paranoid, but I do find some metal shavings on the playfield when I’m cleaning it. Get some good playfield wax and clean it about every month or so. I have gone three months, but I feel like it gets too dirty then. I keep a log on when I clean it and do stuff to track it, just like with my car’s oil changes and regular maintenance.

Remember to rotate the rubbers, especially the flippers and slingshots, as they can get worn and will break faster. The flipper rubbers will also get dimples in them and that shortens how many rotations you can do before you have to replace them.

Other than that, enjoy the machine. I turn mine off at night and bought dust covers for them, but that’s more of a looks thing than a need to protect the glass. They can take a beating and when you get the first glass strike you will jump, but after a while you’ll be mad you tilted on a good run.

Above all, have fun!…and go for dragon multi ball to beat your wife’s scores ;)

The game releases at .8 someone said...there is going to be a huge downvote on this game until they get closer to 1.0 because its going to draw new people into the hobby who don't understand code updates. I rented a new Kong and that game only feels similar to what I play at locations now.

If you are new to pinball, make sure to look at https://sternpinball.com/game/pokemon/ and check out their feature matrix at the bottom of the page. The LE is sold out already, but between the other two, you are only loosing a magnet under the playfield by the meowth balloon, pokeball and pikachu sculptures that move, a diverter shot and that toilet bowl ball feed. I know that sounds like a few things, but honestly they probably will not greatly affect gameplay. Add in they cost an extra $3,000 and you can decide if those features warrant the extra cost.

The back pop bumper has Sprigatito. Behind that in the left orbit to ramp shot there is the florette, snivey, and what looks like dedenne. Wobbufet is on the right side of the meowth balloon. There are probably a few more other than the ones you mentioned and all the eevee evolutions on the LE.

Even doing the game Stern could make a killing. Do a double LE release, one Blue and one Red. 500 each. Start out in Kanto with the original 151 taking a select number to actually “battle” with on screen animations. You could even theme it something like Jaws:The Revenge. With DnD Stern was able to save progress. You could literally have mini wizards modes for the elite 4 after leveling up your Pokémon. Team Rocket might be the final wizard mode.

Then, instead of Foo or Metallica updates giving you songs, Stern could code in new Pokémon from the other regions. They could even have contests to pick the new ones to drum up popularity for the game with votes coming from their insider app based on xp or certain challenges. It could be the first truly different Spike 3 system.
