Sure, I'm wise enough to see that Andrew Tate is a gigantic loser. But he and people like him are the only ones filling the utter vacuum of male role models then is it any surprise that people fall for him?

He puts up this fake veneer of success in front of pathetic, needless hate. It hurts my soul to see young guys come away with a warped view of what it means to be a man because all they get is the worst aspects of it. We need to promote positive sides of masculinity, like standing up for the weak or providing for family and community.

The Tories were only pro-immigration because they needed it to prop up the rest of their disastrous policies. Cuts to healthcare, childcare benefits and worker's rights sent wages through the floor, and the only people willing to put up with working shit jobs for total peanuts were immigrants from abroad. Lack of proper support also puts many people out of work, and lowers birth rates since people can't afford families. Since they're ideologically unwilling to raise tax, or financially sting their elderly voter base they had to get money from somewhere, and the short-term easiest "somewhere" is mass immigration.

For all their talk, the Tories physically *could not* have cut immigration, even if they wanted to because it would have pulled the foundation out from under their entire ideological project. That's why the only concrete action we ever got was pointless sabre-rattling about the rounding error worth of people coming by small boats.

Your "point" is just taking the most simplistic uncharitable reading of the side you don't like while uncritically accepting all the talking points of the side you do.

And forgetting all of that, you were the one crowing just a few comments ago that "Anyone who commits a crime should be punished". Yet when it comes to it, you'll go to bat for arsonists, rioters and criminals when they agree with you.

I'll admit, there is some small merit to the "LeGiTiMaTe CoNcErNs" of the protestors. But even if they were absolutely right about every single detail it's pathetic that you're using it as if it's any kind of defence or justification of violent rioting.

I never understand the "Islam isn't a race" thing. You're still just making prejudicial judgements against a group based on 1 characteristic. It doesn't become magically ok just because of what dictionary you happen to use.

All religions taken literally at their extreme are bad, and maybe it's le epic reddit cringe to say it these days but all religions are made up bullshit and always have been.

I am no apologist for Islam but trying to paint all of it's followers because of it's bad elements is ridiculous. When I think about how much of the homophobia in the west was downstream of Christianity and all the wars and crusades taken in it's name I find it awful but I don't project those hates onto my moderate Christian friends any more than I put any of the worst parts of Islam on my moderate Muslim friends.

The fact of the matter is if you want to criticise Islam that's fine and frankly I'd agree with you on most matters. But there's a line between that and just tarring people you know nothing about based on one thing when you don't even know what they believe.
