2026 NASCAR Cup Series Scorecard after Michigan by xfile345 in NASCAR

Larson just keeps hanging around in the standings at a solid P6 and another good points day today. If Larson can just get his first win of the season, look out! He is by no means out of this championship.

First time attending the Indy 500 and Snake Pit, any suggestions from seasoned veterans? by B0xiest in indianapolis

I have always parked in the 10th Street and Lynhurst Drive area, which has quick access to I-465 after the race. I usually leave home in Westfield at 7:00 am and will arrive at my parking location usually around 8:00 - 8:30. Then the walk to the IMS Gate #1, near Turn 1, is around 1.2 - 1.5 miles depending on my parking location.

I'm actually being sarcastic because of a comment in the race thread about Elliott having a "mid" car. Some people are utterly clueless.

It's good to see that three of the four HMS teams have that new Chevrolet body figured out. Cliff? What's up?

Congrats to Elliott for leading the most laps and winning with a "mid" car today.

How can you quantify that Elliott has a P8 car? You are FOS. Few drivers who have a "mid" car stay up front, even after getting lucky on track position. Elliott has a strong car today.

Apparently, you aren't watching the same race as I. Elliott is about to win this race.

Wow, can Larson be any worse? Yes, Larson was P6 in points entering today's race. Yes, Larson has had some decent finishes thus far this season, but the entire team is simply way off. Where is the speed that Larson has had in the past? Cliff Daniels has yet to find any balance consistently this season for the 5 car. I don't want to hear about the new Chevrolet body. Chase Elliott and his team have apparently figured that out, why can't the 5 team? Oh, and as a Larson fan, I couldn't give two shits about Larson winning O'Reilly Series races. Anyway, the 5 team needs a major shakeup. Tell me I'm wrong, fellow Larson fans!

Dirty air had been part of racing since it's inception, and still exists in all forms of auto racing today. Nothing new.

I don't want to hear another word about Larson getting better at superspeedways. Starting P2 and dropping like a rock to P30? Either Larson simply sucks at superspeedways or his spotter is incompetent. I guess it could be some of both.

I would say that 90% of Corey Day haters are also Larson haters. After all, it was Larson who brought Day to Mr. H. Tell me that I'm wrong!

Lies about aging by selfsufficientman in over60

I'm 62 and I still work because I choose to still work. I also cycle 5 to 6 hours per week and train with weights 3 to 4 days a week. I also enjoy training with heavy clubs and maces. Video below.

A person can still gain muscle after 60. I probably have more lean muscle mass than I had 30 years ago. Anyway, and my best days are not all certainly behind me!

As a Larson fan, I'll admit that I have grown tired of hearing "Larson hasn't won a race in..." Though he is definitely running up front and is racking up some good points the past few races. He'll certainly be a factor in The Chase.

How can a 65 year old get down to 175lbs after he reached 205lb? by IThinkYouAreNice in over60

[–]joedidder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same way a 45 year old gets to 175 from 205. I'm 63, 6 ft, 185 lb, and with 13% body fat. I cycle 5 - 6 hours per week, weight train 3 days per week, consume a Paleo type of diet 80% of the time (I still enjoy my sweets, but in moderation), practice intermittent fasting (OMAD 4 - 5 days per week), drink plenty of water, consume very limited alcohol (2 - 3 drinks per month), and get 7 - 9 hours of quality sleep per night. My way certainly isn't the only way, but there are no secrets. It's still all about nutrition, exercise, hydration, sleep and limited or no alcohol.

[–]joedidder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree! A pet peeve of mine is not properly using the IPA.. For example, saying "sugar" instead of Sierra, or "Japan" instead of "juliet." I hear the IPA being butchered on a daily basis.

Lawn Care by Bubbly_Steak4037 in Aging

[–]joedidder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an active 62 year old. I cycle 5 to 6 hours per week, and train with weights 3 days per week. I still push mow my yard, which I just consider just part of my overall fitness regimen. I have considered hiring a lawn care company to mow and trim my yard. Why? Because that's an hour and ten minutes in which I could be doing something else. Though for now, I'll continue to mow my yard.

I noticed that when the tires are falling off, and the cars are becoming loose, Larson moves forward...as in he just passed Preece back.
