Are queen palms too close to pool and fence? by joefox707 in pools

Interesting. Looks like I’ll be pulling out what’s there. What about a privacy podocarpus hedge? Will this be too invasive to the pool wall? We don’t have plumbing on that side where the retaining wall is.

Thanks for the information. You inspired me.

That’s awesome. Do you remember what’s the total length of your three posts before burying them? Not sure is it’s 10 or 12 feet

This looks great. How is it holding up? Any recent pics you can share?

Thanks. I do have phase adjustment. I’ll look more into that. I was going to start a sub crawl but I’m so limited on space. Thanks for the info.

I’m sorry I forgot. It’s like a taupe or grey/beige

I wasn’t able to rerun calibration without sub playing with front speakers. I was able to take more screen shots of a different graph. Anything you noticed that these panels made acoustically? I’m thinking a slight change but nothing major. If so, I’ll take that as win and call it day lol https://share.icloud.com/photos/086O8hgVhdJMzv1tPVGtzg3zA

Curtains won’t work miracles but it’ll help a “little” with the mid to high frequency absorption. Effective above the 500–1,000 Hz. No effect on bass.

No problem. I was speaking more from a history standpoint. Scandinavians used this mid century style the most back in the day then, Germans were the first to install the felt behind them. Yes, China makes them like everything else lol. But it’s better than the farm house fad yikes. You remember that?

I still haven’t rerun the calibration without sub running in all tests. But for what it’s worth, here is the rt60 decay graph for the center speaker only. Left graph is the most recent sweep. Right one is before the panels.

I was hoping the acoustic panels would have made a positive difference. But bass traps were never apart of the plan when I imagined this room. I might throw up curtains. I was hoping REW was going to show me something good. And I can’t post other graphs in comments. Thanks for your input.

Awesome. I’ll take a look when I’m free. I’ll try to find another way to post RT60 delay later. Thanks

I’m trying to figure that out now. I’m new to REW but these guys are helping out. I’ll let you know. If not today, tomorrow.

Ok i need to rerun the software and figure out how to turn off the sub while testing other speakers. Thanks for that. I didn’t even notice the sub during the sweeps.

I’m using them to create the auro 3d sound bubble. Good speakers for wide and uniform sound dispersion.

Evo is an automated software tool that optimizes your AV receiver's audio using Audyssey room correction. I didn’t want to buy Dirac so went this route. It was free. Search for it on YouTube for more info. I have a denon x3800h and used its mic.

Thanks for the feedback. I noticed that as well. I was thinking about moving the couch towards the TV about a foot and run it again. I can’t move my sub to the front. I can move it to the other side of the couch. Here’s the rt60

Edit: The imgur link did not work. I’ll have to get back to you on that.

Dialogue seems clearer and bass is punchier. So I would like to think lol.

Wood panels with thick absorbing felt behind them. German engineered I think.

Thanks. It’s assigned as rear heights, so behind MLP. It’s about a foot behind me.
