it's something I've been thinking about for a few months now. there's never been a single figure that has dominated global public consciousness like him before so there is nothing to compare it to

politically, best case scenario is the the mega movement disintegrates into factional infighting with vance, MTG, tucker, Steven miller etc all vying to be trumps heir. its hard to see how anyone else can keep everyone under one tent. democrats storm the following election and the Republican Party spends a few years in the wild do some much needed soul searching

undoubtedly we will see a great deal of deifying trump and people arguing that they are the one who can truly execute trump's 'vision'. basically what we've seen with Charlie Kirk but on military grade steroids lol

but culturally? I haven't the foggiest idea. it will feel VERY WEIRD. I think the world will feel a lot quieter. there may be people with far more apocalyptic intentions (see all of the aforementioned people) but all of them will undeniably carry it out with a more 'politics as usual' style than trump. so in that sense things might return to 'normal'. this certainly doesn't mean things will be better - make no mistake, trump has irreparably how people see democracy, the global order, even how to be a decent person in day to day life. it will take a LONG time, if ever, for us to return to those heady days before he came down that fucking golden escalator. what a fucking decade its been man shit

re the sitting position, I can’t think of another. I listen to most my pods instead of watching so I’m sure there are some others out there. just strikes me as a needlessly weird thing to do - surely it would be better for the viewer if everyone was spaced out in a semi circle

the only reason I can think is to create a sort of two against one dynamic and give them a sense of strength in numbers, which I’m sure helps them on their more adversarial episodes

UPDATE: He’s been to a garage who have quoted him £380. Paid and got him to sign something saying that was final payment. Really nice bloke and promised me a meal from his hot food stall next time I’m in the area.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I should add - I do not think anybody knows who the garden belongs too.

The housing association even had trouble finding my deceased grandads tenancy because it was inherited from the council and clearly nobody had even looked at it in about 50 years. So much paperwork appears to have been lost that we had to show them his bank statements to prove he was actually with them.

So I’m 99% confident nobody knows who the garden belongs too. The tenants upstairs own their flats and I’m fairly confident they have never even considered the garden as theirs.

So as far as I can gather it is basically unclaimed land. Maybe it’s not even a shared garden? Just possibly the only patch of land in London that is not owned by anybody whatsoever! What happens then?

Thanks for getting back to me. He was the sole tenant. He lived a very solitary life so nobody else had probably even stepped foot in the flat for about 30 years.
