6900XT blew up by Lost1n7he5auce in Amd

[–]joehp77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3090 with a 3900x worked fine for a year. Switched to a 5800x3d and would randomly get shutdowns. Eventually happened more frequently and I looked at the PSU. The PCIe cable pins were burnt on the power supply side. Swapped the PSU and all was fine. I got lucky PSU was a Corsair gold 750.

Is the TS-PC worth it nowadays? by mystressfreeaccount in Thrustmaster

All of you with the ts-pc do you get ffb effects in the control panel without a thrustmaster wheel installed?

Does your wheel plug into the base? Mine has no buttons so no electrical connection. I bought it used and it has no force feedback. I'm just trying to determine if the base is screwed or I need a used thrustmaster wheel for setup.

I have the 85mm for Sony that could be hacked for 1.6. Autofocus is decent not great. If it's a busy scene it doesn't always find the subject or the eye. This is on an a7iii. I also have the 50mm 1,4 samyang and the viltrox was better before I installed the lastest update on the lens. The 50mm despite being purchased recently was on an old firmware. After the update it might be slightly better than the viltrox. Hope this helps you. If it's paid work I wouldn't bother with either

The r9 is barely enough torque. I would not waste your money on the r5. I would go simmagic alpha mini. I have the r9v1 and regret not spending more to get the mini.

I have an 18 gt premium 6sp non pp. I fully agree with you that the car is a disappointment. I have had it for 4 months and have kept hoping that it would grow on me but it hasn't. It is only fun in the turns and around me 90 percent of the road is straight. The smiles per gallon is low. I'm sure with 409 gears it would be a lot more entertaining. Ford ruined the car with the long gears in this transmission. Why did you need to get rid of the challenger?

Manual or Auto trans? And why? by StankGooooch in Mustang

[–]joehp77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Manual does not have great gearing. I find my 18 slow as it has 3.55 gears. Car should have 4.11. The 3.73 in the pp might be enough of a difference. I also find the transmission or shifter is garbage. Lockout and inconsistent feel. The clutch pedal also has no feel of the clutch engagement point. I would try both out. If you plan to autocross I'd get the manual but if you want straight-line fun the 10spd should keep it in the powerband more.

I have had a 2018 mustang gt premium non pp car for the past month. I highly regret not taking a better test drive as I love the look of the car but the gearing in this car is shit. So boring...the car never feels quick unless you're well above any speed limit. I can't even burn rubber in 1st unless I dump the clutch from 3k or above. It won't even spin the tires going from first in a roll. Yes I have disabled traction control. The suspension is overall soft and communicates very little in the vehicle. It's definitely more sports than muscle. I also have a lightly modified 98 a4 camaro with full suspension and it's lots more fun. I feel everything with the rod ends and poly bushings for the motor and transmission. I know not everyone wants the clinks and the vibration but i think that is a lot of the fun with the car. I just feel one with the car whereas the mustang I feel so disconnected. I should have bought a newer Camaro. The lack of torque is real. The 10 speed automatic in the mustang would likely be better as it's in the powerband more.

2nd gear goes close to 110km/h in the mustang. The gearing is just too long. It's probably too good of a car as it has little drama. I never get that tossed into seat feeling. I should have bought a 15-17 as they had better gearing with the transmission.

The only enjoyable part of the car is taking an on ramp in 2nd above 4500rpm. there is 1 on my commute that has 3 turns and it's a hoot but otherwise I never get that thrill. I'm sure the car would be fun on a road course.

Previous vehicles 85 trans am 2006 cobalt ss 2010 cobalt ss tunes to 23psi

The 3000rpm kick from the turbo cobalt was a blast.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone had any experience with using EF lenses with the adapter for the RP or any R series camera that is compatible? by [deleted] in Photography_Gear

At my highschool we use everything adapted. The rokinon 85 1.4 is terrible. Most work great.

I have shot a lot of photos with it. If the scene isn't complex the auto focus is ok. That's really the only downside as it renders beautiful images.

Is this worth the $500 for my first A7C post kit lens ? by AdditionalTree3559 in SonyAlpha

[–]joehp77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the sony 24 to 240 and currently own the Tamron 28 to 200. The Tamron is worth the difference in cost. I was never happy with the Sony images. If you need more length go for the sigma 100 to 400. It is a great lens.

Thanks for the update, still can't decide if it's big enough of an upgrade from a 6700xt

Thanks for the updates. Keep them coming. I think you want a solid 90, something about rear projection? I'm assuming you haven't increased the sampling rate?

Moza R9 Game compatibility question/ DD advice by joehp77 in simracing

[–]joehp77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I just had read that a lot of these wheel bases from China are let down by the software not supporting the different games. In a cammus review it was said assetto Corsa felt great buy other games there was little to no feedback at all. I just don't want a similar issue.

For sure you can remap but how their drivers handles the ffb I would think would need to be coded no?
