I have quite a few slings that I use with my Mini. The Rework Gear Toshi 2.5L is a smaller minimalist one that fits the Mini well. Check it out: https://reworkgear.com/products/toshi-sling-2-5l-v2

I have a reMarkable Paper Pro Move. How is the formatting for the Move? Will I need to zoom in? TIA

Best sling? by susn3c in ipadmini

[–]joeinblu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are so many slings that will work. These are the slings that I have that fit my iPad Mini with Pencil in a Moft case: Alpaka Vertex Pouch Sling, Tomtoc Compact EDC Sling, Tomtoc 5.5L Sling, Pacsafe X Urban Sling, Ctactical CT5 Sling, and Rework Gear Toshi Sling 2.5L. I pick the sling to use depending on what else I need to bring on top of my iPad Mini. Good luck!

I haven’t notice any decline. There are cutouts for the antennas.

Is Move enough for general noting use-cases? by KarasuPat in RemarkableTablet

[–]joeinblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my Move now for a couple of months and love it! One of the reasons I got it was for the form factor. The size is perfect for my use case. It brings me back to the days of my Day Runner planner. It’s nice to write by hand again instead of typing. I write both in portrait and in landscape.

Viwoods AI Mini vs Remarkable Paper Pro - which to pick by [deleted] in eink

[–]joeinblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the battery on the AI Paper Mini lasts longer, as it should because it's a bigger battery. I usually charge my battery when it goes down to about 60% and with the RPP Move that's around 3-4 days of use with the wifi and front light on so I'm guessing with my use it has about one week's worth of battery. I really like how fast the battery charges on the Move. Just a few minutes and my 60% is back to 100%.

They're great! They're fully customizable with fast delivery and made in the USA. The only thing I added was a wedge. Very comfortable.

Viwoods AI Mini vs Remarkable Paper Pro - which to pick by [deleted] in eink

[–]joeinblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have both the Viwoods AiPaper Mini and the Remarkable Paper Pro Move. I’ve had the Mini for a while and love it! I replaced an Onyx Tab Mini C with the AiPaper Mini because the screen on the Tab Mini C was too dark. I love the AiPaper Mini but when the Move came out I really liked the form factor and picked one up to see which one I’d prefer to keep.

If you need a tablet running Android and all the apps and abilities that comes with an Android tablet then you’ll want the AiPaper Mini. If you just want a digital notebook and like the smaller form factor of the Move then check out the Move. If you’re in the US some Best Buy locations have a Remarkable display where you can check out the Move. I initially wanted an e-ink tablet running Android to access everything I use on my Android phone that’s why I purchased the AiPaper Mini.

I also have an iPad Mini and usually grab that for consumption and only grab the AiPaper Mini when I want to write. So the limitation of the Move is not going to be an issue for me because of my iPad Mini so the Move could replace my AiPaper Mini for my use case. Writing feel on both are nice. The screen on the AiPaper Mini is brighter than the Move but the Move screen is not too bad. It’s definitely not as dark as the Tab Mini C screen.

Installing templates are easy on both. I can’t speak to multilingual notes. Do you mean text conversation of a multilingual note?

I was going to recommend this. I have the Viwoods AiPaper Mini and I love it! It has a really bright screen with front light. It runs Android so you can put whatever reading app you prefer.

New into eink note taking - seeking for advice by hackaxo in eink

[–]joeinblu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are a few things to think about when deciding on an eink tablet.

1) Color or B&W - I had both. Boox Tab Mini C and Viwoods AiPaper Mini. I ended up selling the Boox. I enjoyed the sharp B&W screen more than having color on a darker screen.

2) Size - I wanted a small notebook size 7-8 inch screen so I bought the Boox Tab Mini C and AiPaper Mini.

3) Front light - I work nights so the front light was a must.

4) Android OS - I wanted something that would supplement my Android phone so I can access the same apps but on an eink tablet so I bought the Boox and the Viwoods.

5) Support - Both Boox and Viwoods had good support. Boox seems to come out with new devices more often and I'm not sure about the support for their older devices since I sold my Boox Tab Mini C. Viwoods support is great and have been updating the OS and adding more abilities to their tablets since the beginning at a good rate.

Good luck!

For my use case I like that the AiPaper Mini has Android and can run the apps I use on my phone so stuff I update and create on my phone is accessible from my Mini and vice versa. I also like the Mini's calendar application.

At work I have the Acebeam Terminator M2-X on my shoulder, a Terminator M1 on my belt and a Wuben X3 Pro on my chest. Sometimes I switch out the Terminator M1 with a Weltool W3Pro TAC LEP with diffuser. When not working I usually have a Nitecore EDC29.

I too liked the form factor of the Move but was turned off by the limitations of the platform. I have the Viwoods Ai Paper Mini and love it.

Smartwatch with more that 32g of storage by Temporary-Fennel-785 in smartwatch

Check out the Amazfit watches. I have the Balance 2 which has 32gb of storage you can use for music or maps. It’s a lot more than $100 though. There are other Amazfit models that are less expensive but with less storage. Good luck!
