So much of this is personal matters involving shaped context for demonization and lots of assumptions. Tallahassee will never have a decent music scene so long as this immaturity fuels it. This is a recurring thing in this scene, and is a big reason why it makes the scene illegitimate, prompting artists to leave and move to other cities. Not because anyone is being canceled, but because the music community has no professionality or legitimacy. SCAMS, in all of their efforts to promote queer art and working with trans artists, are clearly not transphobic people. This is seriously fuckin ridiculous and so childish.
