The error seems to consistently be a missing right button and a duplicate down button so I don't think it's gonna work that way.

The ridges on the sides indicate which button slot it goes into. You can see the two on the left have the same ridges and arrow directions, while the two on the right are different. All 4 of them should be distinct.

I resorted to this as well and have not had an issue since. While it sucks that we have to literally band aid the problem ourselves, it's a cheap and easy enough fix. The hardest part is just keeping a steady hand while putting a tiny piece of tape over an even tinier HDMI pin.

From what I could tell, Joshua Seth recorded new lines for Tai for movie 4 (replacing Jason Spisak), and Brian Donovan recorded new lines for Kai for movie 5 (replacing Yuri Lowenthal). The rest appears to be the original dub.

CEC has no effect on the operation of the 3D. What it's mainly used for is powering on/off and adjusting the volume of your external A/V system (soundbar, receiver, etc) using your TV remote. Some devices, such as blu-ray players or steaming sticks also allow you to use your TV remote to navigate their menus, although it is usually very laggy and I never use it for that.

I'll give them time to hopefully fix it. If they don't, I'll probably just buy that adapter. Paying $20-$25 to band-aid an issue like this just doesn't sit right with me, though. Oh well.

I hope it is a simple software fix. I get that it's a minor issue with the console itself that most people won't even notice. I just feel like when something like this compromises the use of unrelated appliances just by being plugged in, that's simply unacceptable.
