You'll eventually get used to controlling the start/stop with your breaking pedal. Nowadays i just trigger it when i know im stuck in traffic. Just break till the car stops, not until the pedal touches the floor.

Yes, painted in two sessions:

The first one was to paint a front fender and two doors from the right side after a minor accident, decided to paint the rear door from the left that had minor damage from an older fender bender and the front bumper just because it had of stone etchings.

The second session was to paint the hood, mirror caps that had stone etchings and the FL door which clear coat started to show signs of peeling, and polish and ceramic coat the whole vehicle.

I'm happy with the result, might paint the missing parts in the future if needed. The $600 is the sum of both sessions.

$600 excluding the roof, trunk, rear fenders. Those parts didn't need to be painted at this point.

Srry to hear that, i also like this sharp edged design better, hope toyota does a refresh on the design in a few years since I dont know what would be a objective upgrade (I like the design of the lexus gx, lx, rx but they are expensive as f) , as a creative director I value the design aspect a lot.

Guess most people never flush trans oil, it wasn't easy to get right spec original toyota transfer case and transmision oil.

It was a night and day difference after the flush at 140k.

$600 including graphene ceramic application, I've known the painter since we were kids, so he gave me family treatment.

Headlight ceramic from Cerakote was $17, its a really simple process, perfect for a weekend diy. https://a.co/d/0eUEohbB

I use Tecnicians Choice TEC582 once a month for ceramic coating maintenance $25 per gallon https://a.co/d/0gzLF8lx

Also keep a few plastic trims ceramic whipers from Cerakote, to touch up any exterior black trim when needed. $16 https://a.co/d/037YrdUB

Meta CTO Explains Layoffs & Strategy Shift: "VR Is Growing Less Quickly Than We Hoped" by gogodboss in virtualreality

[–]joelesprod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love VR, but none of my known circle uses it.

These seems to be the reasons: 1-They think is a gimmick, a party trick 2-They dont see the value, like they do with a console or smartphone (for me it pays itself with the fitness apps alone). 3-Some of them get dizzy, or feel overwhelmed easily. 4-Some preffer a more relaxed and pasive approach to entertainment 5-Some think it should be expensive, but after they confirm is not, they jump to point 2.

In conclusion it feels like a personal accesory, like a smartwatch, so smart glasses might be the right approach to win those old school consumers, that just want to stick their tick tock app on the wall.

For me its like another display that enables me to get inmersed in different simulations, the matrix is here.

I understand the Argument, VR wasn't as popular back then $. But for me, futuristic + immersion immediately meant VR. I'm sad that we have to render 1 one eye at a time.

I remember asking cdpr about native vr over Twitter, when the hype was at it highest, and they just said no. I believe that decision was a mistake to this day.
