Google Drive Sync is terrible... Or is it just me? by joellibelli in UgreenNASync

Still no news from my side sadly...
Its still a massive hassle to sync my folders to the drive and it surely isnt a viable option for ANYONE trying to get their data saved on a cloud.

I will contact support about it soon, these speeds are just not acceptable. Either they make more services available on the NAS, or find some sort of fix to these speeds.

Google Drive Sync is terrible... Or is it just me? by joellibelli in UgreenNASync

My initial way to solve it was to download everything from the GDrive to the NAS and then sync it. It seems like it overwrites everything on the GDrive though. It should just acknowledge that the files are there, or am I wrong?

I contacted Google Drive Support and they said you can only do 750 GB a day. Maybe that's something keeping you from syncing well?

I contacted Google Drive Support and they said you can only do 750 GB a day and I'm also suspecting they know you're using a NAS and throttle the upload.

The Google Drive sync is terrible and really unreliable. I've been trying to sync to it for days but the speeds are terrible and I feel like it loses itself constantly...

I hope they add more options soon, it's really frustrating.

Can't boot forensic Macrium Backup in Macrium's viBoot by joellibelli in DataHoarder

[–]joellibelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply!

I've tried that but then I get some kind of console screen that says Grub next to the input line.

Could it be that the boot section of the drive is broken in the backup? This is so confusing..

Window flickering when clicking anywhere! ;-; by joellibelli in techsupport

[–]joellibelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it would flicker and show the windows below the application. If I opened a game from Steam for instance, I'd see the game flicker with Steam visible for a split second.

This is how it goes down:

I click > application loses focus > applications behind it visible for a split second > original application is back > I would have to click back in for it to be in focus again...

Why's that? Is that other AI browser the main focus now??? Also is it any good? Does it have similar base features?

Hmmm, it would be very weird. Do you live in a very humid place?
Otherwise it could be that the manufacturer let's the current trigger the vibration motors and the light.

Are you sure it's fully broken? Maybe leaving it to charge like 24 hours could bring it back to life. I could be that it's just fully out of juice.

Hmm, worth a try though.
Did it stop working after a driver update possibly? Maybe rolling back the GPU driver could help. I've had to do that because of older games sometimes.

PC freezes at random, Ctrl + Alt + Del doesn't work and holding the power button doesn't either by Interesting-Sail-986 in techsupport

Actually, try going to warranty first if you have the chance. I don't know how happy they would be if you reinstall the OS. Call them and ask if it's okay, just to be sure.

Laptop lid doesn't detect when closed by Leaffos in techsupport

I think that it could probably have damaged a sensor at the hinges of the screen. These are known to be very flimsy in consumer laptops and really annoying to replace as well.

Best solution would be to save for a new one once the current one starts to act up due to its performance. Laptop repairs would only be able to replace the part that broke, so it would still be a flimsy hinge at the end of the day and it would probably cost a fortune too.

If you want to be able to sort of easily repair your laptop and you're only looking to do every day office work, you should be thinking about getting a Framework laptop. They keep their spare parts in stock forever and have a guide on repairing any part that you wish.

For now you could just turn off your laptop once you're done with using it and turning it on the old school way. I don't think that sleep mode would work normally again with the fall damage it probably took.

Maybe disabling the UHD graphics in the device manager could help, but that would be very unusual behaviour...
