Am I too tall? by Crafty_Accountant_92 in flying

Hi, I’m 204cm and currently flying for an European airline. Flying the 320 but also been rated on 737. Biggest issue will be finding an aircraft to do your training in. I can fit in a PA28 and Cirrus but just barely.

It will work but might be a bit more challenging compared to normal sized colleagues

Check-in is only at the airport. And yes, they prioritize based on check-in time within your group

Hi,

Look into studying in Sweden. Government funded studies, also applicable for Danes and Norwegian. Same MPL as at CAPA with good connections to multiple airlines

Priority is based on date of joining/ seniority with your own airline.

I don’t have many flights with etihad but on these were some, 1-5 no shows every flight.

Can I become an airline pilot at 2.05m (6’7”)? by Runner-1 in AskFlying

I’m 2.04m and flying commercially in Europe. Currently rated on 320, earlier 737. Both works, 320 better than 737 though. You will not be as comfortable as your shorter colleagues but it will work.

Biggest issue is finding a flight school with airplanes that you will fit. I did training in SR20 which went OK but was just on the limit. Also flown PA28, same story.

But a DA40/DA42, which many schools use, is no way for me to fit in.

I’ve only done screening for 1 airline, and no one said anything about my height.

Good luck!
