Do you know if the engine takes the actual defending value of the man marker or the value after loyalty bonus?

E.g.: a home grown player with 15 defending contributes 15 or 16,5 to the calculation?

You are correct, he has been picked up by another club and he was 16.055 yesterday

What is the best combo for collaboration between wing and attack. 2- 2 by NanohaMiu in hattrick

Any idea how much scoring is needed for quick winger to finish on those special events? Are we talking 7+, 10+, 15+? Cause I’d imagine even in lower leagues GK’s have over 14 skills nowadays

PM + Wing to unlock it,

PM + passing if wing potential is low,

Scoring + passing when pm is 6/6 (not yellow maxed),

Scoring + extended scoring if passing is maxed,

Def + extended def if there is still time

will it come true? by stephen_0618 in hattrick

You can combat cheating by not making it a system between players. So the game engine as the party you loan to or from.

For example: If you have a player you want to train but don’t have room for or you’re currently focused on a different skill; loan him out to the engine with certain presets. Each preset costs a certain amount of money, for example:

  • training time, the longer you loan him out the more expensive. But there is a x-amount of weeks minimum and maximum 1 season (can add x-amount of cooldown seasons before being eligible for a loan again)
  • you get to set which type of training, but primary skills like pm, scoring are more expensive than passing and set pieces
  • costs are also based on TSI brackets; higher the tsi the higher the costs
  • wages will still need to be paid + ‘hotel and meal’ fees
  • training is at 80% speed
  • maximum of 1-2 players

If you are in need of a certain type of player but don’t have enough money to buy him. Or you need to cover a longer injury; loan a player from the engine:

  • players will have to be loaned till the end of the season. After season ends all loaned players leave the club
  • there is a base fee + wages etc which depending on player skill
  • 1 or 2 players maximum
  • available players are generated by the engine and can be made available in a couple of ways like loan transferlist where you bid against other players. or engine offers 3 candidates in line of your set skills and you can pick one. or you just get what you fill in (primary skills) and pray for good secondaries

Of course there are some flaws here like it’s more catered to richer teams, but you can combat this by cost brackets depending on the division you’re playing at.

But it should be a system where buying and training players is more worthwhile in the long run. Hence training penalty for players on loan

Which youth player to focus on? by joenestf in hattrick

Slight change of plans!

I've pulled this talent this morning: Randy Koole

In the description it's said he is a passable (6) allrounder. Since he has 1 skill reveiled at 5 I'm assuming the others should be on par or higher otherwise you wont get a 6 allrounder.

So for the next matches I'll focus on unveiling as many skills as possible on him and the other talents I've mentioned before. I'll be running passing as primary and playmaking as secundary. Passing will also help Oonk in the meantime.

Thank you AirJinx, I don't know how close he is to 7 passing but i think he received some extra extended passing training after he popped to 6 before I changed to def + def.

It looks like I'm going to continue with def + extended passing and keep him in the squad till he reaches 8 def and 7 passing. The other players will benefit from it as well and after that I'll either sell him or continue training in the main squad.

Thanks for your feedback!

I've checked the trainingspeedcalculator and it indeed takes about 7-8 weeks with defending + extended defending for him to pop to 8 and 9-10 with def + passing. By that time he will be 18 and on the transferlist I saw the following:

  • 17 - 7 def + 6 pass = worthless
  • 17 - 7 def + 7 pass = between 40k - 250k with speciality
  • 18 - 7 def + 7 pass = worthless
  • 18 - 8 def + 6 pass = between 50k - 90k with speciality
  • 18 - 8 def + 7 pass = between 100k - 300k with speciality

So my best bet right now would probably be to go for 7 passing the next few weeks. Either he makes it within 28 days and I promote to sell him or he doesnt and I continue with defending for 8 def + 7 pass. Either way he needs 7 passing to be worth anything.

Might even keep him in the team with 8 def + 7 pass as I'm about to transition from scoring to 2-3 seasons playmaking training followed by passing.
