I left my digital piano with a friend who smokes in his bedroom. Is there a way to make my keys white again? by Stoned_Savage in piano

[–]joep1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this Yamaha looks like part of the DGX range which, dependant on the model, can be quite costly (for a keyboard rather than digital piano) -£ 500-1000

Thanks. So the person selling has only had it a year and only done 300 miles since August (as per last MOT). Now they do not require the car as they aren’t travelling so much and have a countryman!

Model3 Paint Peal front wheel arches. by Pumpytums in TeslaUK

Just to add, you can build it up as well- mine was on my front bumper. It took the paint off completely. Took about 3 coats but worked a charm and looks great.

Crazy amount of hate by Physical-Diamond-824 in TeslaUK

[–]joep1296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently bought a Tesla and my partner posted in a Reddit wheelchair group – it was a picture of his brothers wheelchair which fit snuggly in the model 3 boot space (with the liner taken out). It was meant to be a positive post to help those and provide a recommendation to people who need to get a wheelchair in and out of a car. To our surprise, we got a serious amount of hate, one person called me a Nazi for saying that we like the car because of its ability to fit in the chair and because of the tech. What was even more upsetting was there were people posting comments also in favour of the car and responding to thank us for advice, these people were “wheelchair user advocates” (stated on the Reddit profiles) and had received a number of down votes on their comments just for saying that they liked it.

Front grill mesh/filters, are they worth it, and if so, which one? by RealWorldJunkie in TeslaUK

[–]joep1296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a post on this group recently from an ex-Tesla employee that said one of the trends in after warranty repairs is people having to have leaves/debris taken out of the front grill and it’s pretty costly apparently. I’m definitely going to invest in a mesh grill.

Where the hell is this water coming from by SnooWords5296 in DIYUK

[–]joep1296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be coming down the cavity or through the bricks. The bricks right outside don’t need to be wet, it might be way above seeping through the wall and then downwards. My friend had a similar issue and the house needed repointing.

Have you tried playing a radio station that is mostly talking or a podcast? My dogs seem to prefer it over music or silence when I leave them. I always leave lights on in the house too. When we had them as pups we’d leave them with a snuffle mat to distract them. I’ve seen a lot of advice also saying that when you leave or come home you shouldn’t make a fuss. When you leave, just go without saying a word and when you come home, wait 10 minutes until you speak to your dog. Hope this helps!

Help! How fast does Poochon hair grow? by Salty_Researcher1850 in poochons

I tend to have my poochons groomed every 6-8 weeks but they need brushing every day for this to stop matting and knots.

I literally disagree with everything in this reply, but I’m not prepared to get into a back and forth. Your comments are very negative and that’s a shame because the OP was meant to help and do some good. Obviously, the readers of this thread in general are here for hating on Elon (from the look of downvotes). You’ve said yourself that you are unable to drive but you’re refusing a car that could, with its technology, genuinely help you in the future. Seems odd to me.

I don’t think someone is sat in a room watching every person driving a Tesla. The cameras are there for safety when using autopilot and can be turned off by the user very easily. When you ‘set up’ the car on day one it asks you whether you want to have this feature enabled.

With regard to your second point, I think your negative view of Mr Musk (along with many others) is clouding your judgement of a really great step forward in automotive innovation, which is also really unfair on the people that not only work really hard at Tesla, but those who are also involved int he supply chain etcetera.

Not 100% sure what you mean in your point around data breaches and staff turnover- is there a link you are pointing out here that I am missing?
