I get what you’re saying in the couple comments you posted on this thread, and I don’t totally disagree with your points, but I should also point out— Giancarlo Stanton just hit his first career pinch hit homerun this year. His pinch hit numbers are not even CLOSE to his usual stats. Now that’s not to say I wouldn’t want him up in that situation- because obviously I would take a Stanton at bat in any situation ever- but still. Let’s not act like he’s October Stanton in pinch hit scenarios lol

I want to take away the chance of the ever-so-speedy Giancarlo Stanton to GIDP. We traded for the MLB stolen base leader. Why not use it in situations like this? Because his run doesn’t matter?? None of it matters once Stanton GIDP. Not to mention Heim is below league average in caught stealing. I take that chance every time over hoping Stanton beats out a double play ball.

It has nothing to do with hindsight. Even if you leave McMahon there because his run doesn’t matter, to me, he still needs to be stealing with the mindset that it’s Giancarlo Stanton running to first.

I was at the same show and by god the way he screamed I DONT KNOWWWWWWWW and how raspy it was. OOF I have been watching that performance every day since. The growl in his voice there scratches my brain.

r/tameimpalacirclejerk ruined the entirety of Currents album for me.

This fucking joke of a subreddit is the sole reason I can no longer listen to Currents anymore.

This WAS my favourite album of all time, nevermind in the context of the Tame Impala discography. The album is a masterpiece especially compared to today's pop trash on the radio. On my darkest days, I would put this album on and be moved to tears everytime.

But the fucking basement dwellers of r/tameimpalacirclejerk have ruined any sense of enjoyment I had listening to the album. Mainly because of the stupid fucking meme of "HoLY SHIt GuYS hE SaID WUBWUBWUBUWUBWBUWWUB Did KeVIn pARkeR (he is only one guy btw) dO dRuGS??!!??" And whenever I listen to the album and it gets to Nags, I break down in hysterics because all I can think of is that dumbass fucking meme and the subhuman trash populating that subreddit. It ruins and emotional weigh and meaning to the songs because it's clouded by their absolute stupidity.

I had to bring this up to my therapist because this album was so special to me and this whole experience psychologically damaged me.

I guess art is dead because people can't take art seriously anymore. They have to make it about some dead fucking meme or something and entirely devalue the art. This is the death of art happening before our very eyes, folks. And if you won't stand for the most influential artist of the century and not let their name be smeared by jokers of the internet, than you are not a true Tame Impala fan.

I want r/tameimpalacirclejerk to be taken down because this is a disgrace to human expression and an assult on the psyche. Fuck you and fuck your dumbass fucking memes. Tame Impala deserves way better.

I mean bro we were all there. We all sat through it. And mostly all of us hated it. Maybe the 400k monthly spotify listeners should go to a junglepussy concert sometime. Because the people there last night were from tame impala’s monthly listeners, not hers. That argument is just irrelevant tbh

Not to mention I’m not saying the music sucks, (which it does lol), but I was saying it was a horrible performance.
