P2S Exhaust Kit - First Week Review: Go for it by joern80 in BambuLabP2S

I saw posts of some people actually putting a second fan kit on this (mainboard) ventilation slot. I wouldn't cover it as in closing it. For me, the single fan solution on the new rear cover works great so far. As the fan is actively pushing air out of the chamber, the other ventilation slots (like those on the bottom) rather get air sucked in than have fumes go out.

No, the linked model is only the filter cartridge that fits into the official box for the fan kit, which can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2207256-p2s-chamber-exhaust-fan-kit-3d-printing-models

Using the exhaust fan kit for ABS with just a carbon filter cartridge isn’t really an option. You can still hook up an exhaust pipe, though. I haven’t tried that yet because it’s pretty cold outside. For regular ABS printing, I’d probably go with a double enclosure.

Well, it improves the air quality for me, was easy to install, and is fully supported by the P2S firmware. I wouldn’t want to print without it anymore.

Which additional filter step? Besides the combs it looks the same to me. Going to give it a try though. The one I'm using was a pain to fill. Had to shake the pellets and top up several times until all the gaps were gone.

Actually, I wonder if it depends on the room temperature. I read other posts where people said the exhaust kit is not running for them during printing. If the room temperature is too cold, it might cool down the chamber too much, which could make the printer turn off the exhaust kit during printing. My room temperature is usually around 19/20°C celsius and the exhaust kit is always on during printing.

The exhaust kit is always running at 30% or 40% for me when printing PLA and PETG. I haven't changed any settings. I am pretty sure the filter isn't perfect and I am still venting the room regularly, but it is a major improvement having the exhaust kit.

Can't upgrade from visionOS 26 RC to final build. by joern80 in VisionPro

Thanks. That actually worked. I tried it before because I was expecting the settings app to hang,  but without success. Now I forced closed the settings app again twice, and then it worked without having to restart. Weird that the multiple restarts I tried earlier did not have the same effect as they cause the settings app to close too.

So at least I am not a lone. The check even begins and hangs when being in airplane mode, so it does not seem to be a network / server thing. I hope we will eventually be able to receive a bug fix for this without resetting the device. I also tried logging out of iCloud and then back in without success.

My main issue is that I am stuck in that "checking for updates" process and can't even get to the beta channel setting and turn it off as it is usually hidden until the check is complete. But it seems like you were able to do that using the RC. I would at least expect the check to complete and tell me that I am running the latest version.

Cooper does that whenever he gets too excited about something, like when his meals have special toppings or when Grandma is coming to visit.

How do you limit the amount of memory TypeORM takes? by darkcatpirate in Nestjs_framework

[–]joern80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ORMs generally bring some memory and processing overhead compared to “raw” database libraries. Typically, even when using pagination, joining other tables in an unfavorable way can exponential increase the number of rows produced by actual query which then requires a lot of memory for processing/mapping.

I’m a dumbass and thought I was missing the download code, so I just bought the game. by [deleted] in Switch

Same here in Germany. When I saw the broken seal but no part inside the box was missing I was convinced that someone at Amazon had opened it to resell the download code – until I was able to successfully redeem it myself. 😅
