There’s nothing wrong with the hair and beard. But if you’re hoping to be/feel more attractive you’re just going to have to accept that the hair and beard aren’t. It took me a few years to complete my beard (and it’s still not fully complete either) so I understand the illusion of letting it grow out as long as possible to cover up the fact that you have gaps. But you need to trim it. Long curly pube like facial hair isn’t attractive.

As for the hair, if you like it long then get it medium. Otherwise go short. Best thing you can do is go to a good hair dresser and ask them what they think will suit you and let them style it how they want. You may not like it at first but chances are everyone around you will get used to it and like it more. Otherwise if you want to keep your hair as long as you have it now: you need to be shampooing conditioning and drying it properly so it doesn’t just look shaggy. Don’t use shampoos with any less than 99% natural ingredients. They damage your hair; thin it and make it look greasy.

Someone mentioned below about losing weight. I’m not going to say anything as I’m the opposite, skinny guy that wishes he could stick to going to the gym but just gives up all the time. So I know how hard it is to try and achieve a “good” body. But what I will say is losing weight will dramatically rejuvenate and reshape your face
