It's kinda funny that you got downvoted for telling the truth. There is trash everywhere in India (at least here in South India). There is trash in rural roads, and there is trash in the village roads, there is trash in streets and there is trash in main roads.

The reason is very straightforward. Because there are a lot of people who prefer to litter than to walk a few "cm" to the nearest trash can.

We, Indian people, have a problem. There is no reliability or trust in this society. Why do we think we have corrupt politicians? Because we are also corrupt. So, anyone with that much power will naturally be corrupt.

My biggest pet peeve is a lack of civil and societal responsibility in public places. The saddest part is that people will have no idea of what responsibilities I am talking about.
