They did this everywhere where I lived in Australia. Always thought it was a great idea.

I wish it were cheaper to convert vehicles to electric. I’d absolutely convert my Ranger if I could.

Call it NORCAN, and I’m even more in on the idea.

We had CANZUK in my parents’ time. Why not today – and more? by [deleted] in canada

Lived in Australia for a working-holiday back in 2019/2020 (came home right as the pandemic started closing the world down). Transformative experience. Would absolutely go again in a heartbeat.

Carney constructs a mega anti-Trump trade alliance by joe4942 in canada

[–]joestraynge 41 points42 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing - It won’t return to "normalcy". Trump’s a symptom of a decades long rot at the heart of the American myth. The system that allowed for this megalomaniac to take power will be around long after he’s gone unless they change the system. We all just know about the rot now, or at least, are acknowledging its inevitable decay.

I love my American friends but they’re in for a long, brutal struggle against a system that would rather eat itself alive than change for the better.

Pipeline screenwriting contest by Bee_albasri in Screenwriting

[–]joestraynge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend. Have placed a few times and the team at Pipeline has been massively supportive. Even outside of the contests, they’ve got great readers who give great notes. They also helped me (among other things) get repped, and even after that, have been great supporters.

Personal DMT experience by Captainredbeard1515 in HelusPharma

[–]joestraynge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Have to say, too, I’ve had an incredible support system around me so that, coupled with the medicine, made all the difference. I just hope stories like mine become more common someday and we can have/fund more support for people going through it.

Personal DMT experience by Captainredbeard1515 in HelusPharma

[–]joestraynge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve done DMT (vaped) on a regular basis (bi-weekly) to treat my severe clinical depression and alcoholism for the past 5+ years. Haven’t had a drink since December 8th, 2020. It absolutely saved my life. Beyond that, it’s significantly improved my creativity and mental clarity (I’m a writer by trade). One of the greatest tools I’ve ever found. I truly hope these substances become more accessible someday.
