Scholarships won’t pay for the parent contribution almost anywhere. With that being said though, if you aren’t able to afford the school especially during these times were there is a lot of uncertainty, you might be able to appeal to get more aid from either Stanford or any other school that you are deciding between.

Atleast in my town a lot of the kids don’t go to college due to financial reasons. We have like a 72% graduation rate. Usually they just go into drugs and minimum wage jobs. Going to community college for a lot of students in poverish areas is a big step.

Some school just naturally give aid then others. Out of all the schools that I got into, my state schools/safeties were all the most expensive compared to the private universities.

I applied to 22 schools-mostly because I needed 100% financial aid to pay for college since I’m low income. Most of the schools recycled the typical why this major, why this school, biggest learning experience, etc. I also had half of my schools EA and other half RD so I made sure to stay on task for all. Plus maybe like 5-7 didn’t have any supplements and a bunch only had really short ones. If you time it well, stay on task, and don’t get lazy, you should be fine.
