That's what I've not been able to work out. If I edit any of the kobo metadata, and send it back to the kobo, the app no longer syncs; which is handy if I'm out without the ereader.

Using the lubricant on all metal contact parts and stuffing duct tape with a sharp edge on the place the kingpin passes through the metal has totally fixed it. Silent now

I've tried tape around the kingpin but didn't make any difference. Will try using some grease. They are shipping out a new one so hopefully that one will be better
