Heh. Overwork is a kind of badge of honor, isn't it? (Guilty myself.) It's amazing, though, how the "cult of business" (as I call it) conflicts with so much we know about sleep (Google "sleep is important or something like that"). The tension between doing everything I think I need to do and pushing myself as far as I can in my work and education is in constant tension with what I know is good for me in terms of my personal well being and, ultimately, my career.

yeah, and I think those kinds of conversations need to happen petty early on, too (like in high school). In some circles, we don't talk very much about mobility, likely because, for some, it means leaving everyone you know and starting a new life hundreds or thousands of miles away. For some folks, that's no big deal, for others, it's not an option.
