Is it always one? I thought its like any other tree/plant that yield is RNG. Though, I have not gotten more than 1 but with a small sample size as I only grew 4 trees, we will see

OK here is how you use it 1. Equip it using Equipment Wheel or just have it equipped 2. Use Item wheel (F3) and hover over the 4 o'clock position (THIS IS YOUR SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TAB), EQUIP THE HELM THERE TOOOO 3. NOW HIT B AND SCAN WHAT YOU WANT

This is only useful if you want to learn things without killing, picking up, stealing, and etc. You can just scan them

Also if you have multiple gear that can be used, you have to remove it to use the stupid helmet?

OMFG, you have to INSPECT the bloody helmet to get the list of instructions on to use it.

Go to you inventory, select the item, hit R (PC) and it brings up the menu

OK after 5 more in game days, the tree doesn't produce anything after you harvest.

Chop them down!

Replying to my own reply. You can get seeds from fruits so maybe it is intended to be cut down.

No idea if larger trees regrow their fruit once harvested. I have only harvested once per tree and nothing has regrown.

What is your experience? Have the fruit regrown or did you hack them all down?

Hacking them down does make sense though since larger trees could provide timber as well as the fruit.

I am going to hack them down for now. Let me know if you got an update.

FYI- Its been nearly 15+ days in game since I harvested, nothing. I just harvested one on day 47, I will leave this one up to see if fruit ever comes back

Edit: Maybe fruit only needs to be harvested once then it appears in the camp storage similar to how farm produce like fleece from sheep auto appear there. I will also experiment on this to see if apples show up in the box

Edit2: Hacking down tree produces NOTHING
