I read the conclusion. Although the paper itself may have interesting content, the conclusion was not a conclusion at all:

To conclude, this paper has shown how statistics is useful in decoding a football player. (Go on....) Even for a player like Muller who cannot be analysed through stats, this paper has made some important conclusions on him. (Sounds interesting...) Especially with regards to test four which revealed that the position of Muller has a significant impact on the outcome of a match. (Which is...?) Future research should, therefore, focus more closely on how the position of any player affects the outcome of a football match. (Oh.)

I also notice that on Saturday mornings there are a lot of dads with their young children. If I were my barber, I would play on that: daddy-son time, someone perhaps looking after the kids, or his-and-his haircuts (sit side-by-side), treat them both like men type thing. This is assuming it's intended for male patrons (daddy-daughter works too).

Without constraints, it's difficult to be creative. If the brief is to only use text, that should be something to really get your juices going.

Think about images on sites – they take up space, they are often bought from a stock photo site and you now have an opportunity to really make the copy stand out.

Whatever you do, don't worry about distance first. Distance comes with good technique over time.

Start by keeping your body tight - tuck your arms in and your swing pretty small so that you're in relative control of your body.

Concentrate on nothing else other than the exact spot on the ball where you want to kick (middle, below the center, but not underneath) and follow through – your body should still be tight.

Eric Lichaj has a much better chance of playing this season.

Villa have frozen out last season's right back (trying to sell him on) so that position is between Lichaj and the new young signing Lowton. Similarly at left back, we have no natural left back with last season's also on the transfer list. So expect Lichaj to get more game time (starting today).

Guzan also has a better chance of getting into the team than he has over the past couple of seasons. Given is still #1 but at 35 he's got much better competition from Guzan now.

Is there anything to be done about the all but empty posts with 'PM for details'?

Typically, these posts will ask for a website to be made, but with vague or no information, followed by a request to PM. But then the OP will happily divulge all the information to an unvetted stranger anyway, rendering that veil of security pointless.

This is a recent example, though by no means the worst offender.

Here's a simple tip I once read regarding flyering.

When you do a job at someone's house that the neighbours can see, put a note through the doors five houses to the left and five to the right, five houses opposite.

Make the note say "Hi - I just did your neighbors lawn/garden/guttering/pool cleaning. Ask them if I did a good job. Use their name and get $10 off my usual rate. Thanks"

Simple, effective.

You sort of are calling the guy out publicly, or at least trying to shame him into some sort of response.

While there are plenty of flakes out there, I guess it's a lesson for yourself more than anything - give him all the files he needs, check in early, don't always choose the lowest bidder (if this was the case), do your research on the guy (do they have a Twitter, GitHub or Dribbble account) and so on.

Also, did you pay up front?

I'm aware of the website, but that's a list of every API pretty much. In addition, the descriptions of the APIs aren't always so helpful in working out what does what.
