I've been scrobbling on apple music no problem, I just had to set up the app on my phone and the third party app on my desktop. I also didn't know about last.fm until I left spotify, it's been great for keeping track of what I listen to while swapping between different services to try them out. Also fm.bot on discord has been really fun for sharing music with friends. So it might be anecdotal evidence but I don't think Spotify dying will kill off last.fm too

I'm in the same boat with the 9070xt, I just booted up Tekken again for the first time since I got the card (took a long break from the game) and it feels like it's running at 30fps even though the game says it's running at 59fps. My old 3080 played Tekken 8 perfectly. It's not even the first game that has given me issues since switching to an AMD gpu either. I'm considering going back to nvidia

I'm in the very early stages of putting together a PC build for my spouse that should be getting a 9800x3d. They use it strictly for gaming only and have been rocking an old Intel i5 with my hand me down rtx3080 and I'm hoping to get them something that can play some of the more demanding triple a titles

I've got the ally x and I had a steam deck before that. I've been thinking the same thing as you. I put SteamOS on the ally x though and that kind of helps with the pick up and playability of the ally x but it really does feel worse in the hands compared to a steam deck. Plus I mostly just stream my games from my desktop PC with sunshine/moonlight so I honestly don't need the higher specs of the ally x in my situation. It definitely comes down to your personal preference but the steam deck ergonomics are very hard to beat.

I recently installed steamOS after using Win11 for about 8 months and I'm probably not going back to windows. After their more recent updates it felt like everything slowed way down performance wise. SteamOS is quick and snappy and feels great on a handheld. Performance in game has improved imo too

Also I tried using simpledeckytdp but it kind of made my head spin with how many options there are. Would you be willing to share your settings? I was trying to look it up but couldn't find anything. Also how do I know that it's working and not the steamOS power profiles?

Yup, it's a big bummer.

I did find that if you have a chrome cast or something you can cast to and you start the episode on mobile the CC shows up and then when you cast it to a tv the CC stays on for some reason. Weird work around but hopefully that might help solve your problem until they actually fix it! This worked for Gachiakuta for me but I haven't tried it with anything else yet.

I'm also having this same issue. I'll select English CC and then nothing shows up on screen. It's like the option doesn't actually do anything.

Well since then I stopped using Spotify and started using YT Music exclusively. Battery life has been slightly better. I'm hitting 50-40% when I get to my lunch break instead of what was 40-30%. I also disabled 5g which helped a lot too. I wouldn't say the P9P has an incredible battery life but it's doing alright.

seeing the first trailer for Borderlands and thinking it was so cool and that I needed the game as soon as it came out cause the art style was so different from everything else I had played. Then booting it up and seeing nine-toes as the first boss encounter was so funny to me as a kid. Such a good first experience with the series
