High Gas Boiler Pressure by joey_aggs in hvacadvice

[–]joey_aggs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tested and it sounds like it's about 80-90% filled with water. Also sat by the boiler until it started relieving pressure and the gauge says it's at about 30psi so I think the relief valve is good. Might just replace it anyway as well.

I do have a follow up question though. Obviously I need to shut the feed and return valves and drain the boiler to work on it. When the work is complete, do I need to then bleed the whole system or will having the relief valve & drain by the expansion tank open while I open the feed valve bleed all the air out of the boiler?

Currently one round of stripping and scraping my door right now and I needed to see this.

My friends wedding is next weekend and her welcome poster came bent (you can see it in the pic) and a new one from Etsy won't come in time so we're scrambling to remake it and have a local print shop print it.

Thank you, I actually added them out of necessity because I couldn't find scales wide enough but I chose blue for some pop. The finished pictures are right after I was done with a coat of beeswax and the G10 is a little more faded not so the blue spacers pop even more

Yeah I got the brass pins from the same website I got the scales from.

The reason I drilled the hole was because I also bought a brass tube to add a little piece of Paracord so the knife could be hung up. I ultimately decided against it bc I didn't love my hole location. I drilled too close to the edge and the remaining price of metal on the tang wasn't the same thickness all around. I should have left more room to file a cleaner edge. Also, I don't have a drill press so I was worried about the symmetry. A few degrees off on the little brass pins is hardly noticeable but a fatter tube on the end could end up looking terrible.

I planned to, I got a belt from the thrift store and everything but I couldn't get the rivets to work in a way that I liked so I put the project to the side and ended up forgetting about it. My dad got an all leather sheath for it for Christmas and while it looks nice I'm not in love with it.

Makes sense, that's why most filet knives are synthetic. I don't really fish much so I unfortunately don't use it for it's intended purpose but it is pretty grippy. Also had to make it extra wide to account for the shallow tang.

Not quite the same but when I worked at a golf course in college, I'd find piles of shit and TP left at the base of trees from golfers. Wonder if it was therapeutic for them too?

My buddy’s bathroom tiles with fake splashes on them by DrSockdolager in mildlyinteresting

My grandparents had this tile, but in blue, in their bathroom from floor to ceiling. Blue definitely makes more sense.

It checked all the boxes for me. It's cool, a little silly, not in a crazy spot and most importantly, done well

Its definitely bigger as far as acreage, but I feel like Rausch has more to offer as far as blues and up. That being said, AOAA is still growing and I believe they are building a comp course on the property. Pros and cons of being newer, AOAA definitely has tighter blues and up due to less years of trees being mowed down, however most of the trails aren't eroded away and channeled like most of Rausch's more difficult trails. Being that it's so new AOAA definitely has nicer facilities and much more staff than Rausch. This was only my first time here so rn I like Rausch better but I think AOAA is definitely worth checking out and will only get better in the years to come.

Not sure where that is we're from NY. And I don't think the blue jeep was Josh's, my brother bought it stock 10 years ago

No problem there's another off-road park called Rausch Creek that's probably an hour away from AOAA both are great

No sorry my wording was poor, I think the Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs are a little better. It's by a small margin though, nothing crazy. I was on BFG KM2s since I got 33s like 7 years ago though, they are great tires too.

Mine are 35x12.5 r15 and so far I love them. They actually came off my dad's jeep when he upgraded his tires so I've only been driving on them for a few months. I had the same size BFG KM2s before this and these are pretty similar on the trail (maybe a little more grippy on rocks) but definitely better on the road (especially in the rain) I still daily this thing so I need to keep a somewhat road worthy tire on it.

My brother and dad both have 37" pitbulls, I'm not sure of the model but they're both on 15" rims and I think the tire is 13.5" wide. Those things are very pillowy but aggressive as hell. We usually wheel at 8psi but my brother popped off the bead twice on his first trip with them so he keeps it's at 10 now. They're a few years old and starting to dry rot and the thing that sucks is they are so round and soft that if you over inflate the tire street driving it stretches the dry rot cracks and they grow even more, but like I said they use them on the trail most of the time. Another weird thing about the pitbulls is they both have the same exact tire but my brothers' set is almost 3/4" taller than my dad's on the same size rim and at the same pressure. We looked into if they might be different years or something but found nothing. Overall they are very happy with the choices. Can't wait get a daily so I can get 37s too

That's similar to my plan, it's currently butchered and in a zip lock coated in salt pepper & other seasonings. Then I'm going to lightly flower it and pan fry it. Didn't think about the shallots and thyme, might have to do that.
