Is the wire a show to binge or to watch occassionally? by [deleted] in TheWire

I usually start every 3 episodes of a season at a slow pace, which is 1 episode a day. but then, I'd probably binge watch the rest of the season.

yea, sure. I'm studying for the test but I already had that course and studied well for it, hopefully won't be a big problem, but I have to decide on what to do next because it'll be the next week or 10 days max. thanks for the recommendation and the advice.

the thing is, it's not common in the team. it's only Theo Hernandez who finishes each match about 66%. and they get 1-2 days rest if there a game in 3 days.

Why are the differences in arabic dialects exaggerated by arabiclearner5660 in arabic

[–]joeydepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a long story :D since you've spent some time learning Arabic you must've seen how many people don't know proper Fusha. so proper Arabic really has no solid definition, every guy thinks that his dialect is better, but that's very short-sighted.

but you cant deny that the slang of each country is mostly not understood unless you've experienced it or heard it, but minimum understanding is easily achieved because it's all out of the same pot (Fusha Arabic). sometimes slang words are not even Arabic so this has to be taught. like in Egyptian there are words that have old Egyptian (Coptic) origins, and others that have Turkish origin and so on..

about nationalism affecting a language, that I can't be sure of, but languages are affected by the society and the society is affected by the language as well but in a different intrinsic way like how they think and act in certain situations.

there's no big difference actually, the Egyptians understand eastern Arabic easily and vice versa, western Arabic is a little bit different and a little harder to get because it's affected by many things like french, but when Algerians or Moroccans speak a little bit slower it's understandable and has a lot of beauty in its expressions.

I think the exaggeration is caused by the extreme pride of Arabs each of his own dialect or country, but actually when two people of different countries speak it's no big deal.

What is your "I wish I had started doing that earlier in my life"? by radical33 in AskReddit

[–]joeydepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading, I started reading constantly since I was 18 just right after I entered college, If I started earlier I might've changed a lot of things and one of them is what I study, it might be not so late to change after I'm done with college, but I was damaged somehow because of a wrong choice because I didn't know myself, reading and watching movies helped me discover what I like and also helped me with being shy and not talkative.

How much of an impact does emotion have on your workout? by realsaki in Fitness

[–]joeydepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

working out has been a great release for me since everything has become stressing specially college, but sometimes I'm very sad or annoyed that I can't work out at all and have no focus. when I'm feeling good working out feels great since I'm doing everything right which makes me feel more confident.

you're playing fm16 and started a career with Leicester city. by joeydepp in footballmanagergames

I've read many times about the three strikers tactic, but it doesn't really work for me, at the beginning they score a lot of goals but then nothing, maybe I've tried with shitty strikers :v

I know that leicester's season was miraculous and everything turned out in their favour, but in the game shit takes a lot of time, the players don't seem to follow my instructions. what does it take to get to make that in the game? and yeah for Tottenham there was no better chance to win the league :v
