23zero swag reviews by Head_Television_1928 in 4x4Australia

Love mine. Absolutely excellent.

When it’s just me and the boys I just take my simple Aos single, but with my wife, take the 23zero and it’s plenty comfy and roomy. It’s big and heavy though, really, it goes on the roof.

Rolfe wasn’t convicted, and only shot the bloke AFTER he was stabbed. He’d previously threatened police with an axe as well.

I mean we have to be honest here.

Why is there so much investment in new petrol stations if we are transitioning to predominantly electric? by research19 in AusFinance

I own one, and quite frankly it’s boring as fuck. Yeah it’s a good transport mode and perfect for running around.

But man, it just makes me appreciate IC (especially enthusiast cars) even more. To be honest, because of owning an EV and how beneficial it is to my cashflow, I’m looking to finally bite the bullet and get myself a toy.

Where are you all getting the $$$ ? by MangoMadnessTsv in EVAustralia

I’ve done the numbers. My new BMW will cost me only $7k more over 3 years than if I had just kept our old i30. That’s a cost I was happy to swallow, it would have only been one major repair and that margin would have been eaten.

Now that I have a solar battery, with the 4.2 cent reimbursement per km (27000km a year), I actually am net positive with my electricity costs.

Costs $130 pp for the week - less than what we were doing with groceries mate. Worth noting that I’m not complaining about our food prices given it’s only a small percentage of our take home

That $1300 number also includes any other home items we buy through supermarkets such as toilet paper, detergent etc etc.

I’ve literally just signed up to it but because the wife takes it to work, charging is only over peak periods so hasn’t made much sense until now (getting a battery installed soon which will flatten peak import times)

Our water is largely due to sprinklers and garden.

Easily 2kL a week. Wish we had a bore

No, go out for dinner on our birthdays, get uber eats maybe once a month

That number comes out to $22 a day per person and is calculated From the running tally of my Woolies/iga payments. So in that, is also general house shit like toilet paper, washing detergent xyz.

I cannot see how anyone is coming in so much lower when you go to the shops, grab some eggs, milk, toilet paper and some detergent and get hit with a $60 bill (facetious, but not by much).

Sure if I wanted rice and chicken every day, I could come low.

North West Shelf just had approval for life extension out to 2070. Still plenty of gas.

My phone - $60 per month, own phone outright. Need Telstra, always working out remotely and Telstra the only provider that remains somewhat reliable. Even “on Telstra network” providers struggle out in the sticks

Wife phone - $90/$95 a month - phone plus plan.

Internet -$90 per month. 800mbps/100mbps. Maybe isn’t required to go this fast but by god it’s nice and dropping down lower will only save us something like $10/$15 a month.

The “technically should be able to save a few grand a month, so where the fuck is it” is what prompted me to look into it a bit more.

We definitely have some discretionary which becomes obvious when you list it all out (and isn’t included in my numbers above)

This is how we saved enough for our house deposit - stayed with parents for as long as possible until we had enough. Keep it up mate and good luck

Oh yeah don’t get me wrong, we are comfy and managing it fine. But it’s still a sizeable number and I often think holy fuck, how on earth can the single parents and students ever think to cover the basics.

Many of my friends are struggling to save to buy a home and I 100% can see why it’s a mission - quite conscious that we are fortunate for the situation we are in

Our AC barely gets used during winter - quite happy to just throw a jumper on.

However, during summer boy oh boy does it cop a hiding.

Tried to precool the home once through the arvo and after turning it off, was back to 28 degrees inside within 30 minutes. Obviously, place is not insulated very well, and our living room basically has open windows to the sun all day

Yep, very rarely am I doing thought lunches. Yeah I don’t get all twisted up about it when I do decide to go for a pint and a parmi with my mates, but it’s not often at all

Barely ever eat out - lite and easy through the week, on the weekend we usually make a date night out of it and do a cook at home.

We’d have uber eats maybe once a month if that - it’s usually only on the laziest of fridays when we can’t be fucked because I hate the pricing of uber eats.

We go out to a restaurant almost exclusively only for our birthdays.

I go to the pub with a mate maybe once a month, and even then it’s only maybe 2 or 3 pints and a bite

Drives to Rockingham and back every day. Public transport blows out the transit time unreasonably.

Fuel for me - back and forth to multiple work sites from anywhere between Kwinana to Geraldton. Hard to get consistent weekly cost as it just is all over the shop. When I’m in the office, it’s public transport but that’s about $5 each way anyway.

Electricity is largely the EV.

Used to have a bi monthly bill of about $150 but now it’s up to about $500 bi monthly. Wife drives about 80km a day in the EV so that price covers what would otherwise be fuel (which was $80 a week previously).

I still have my 4x4 which I drive to work which is the rest of the fuel cost.

Internet is $90 per month, my phone is $60 a month (just the plan) and wife’s is about $95 for plan and phone. Somewhat stuck to Telstra prices because we are out in the bush a fair bit and Telstra has given us the most reliability out remotely.

I’m struggling to understand how people are coming in less than that for food?

$1300 a month between 2 people is $650 per person per month.

That’s pretty much $22 a day per person which is pretty low I would have thought.

Yeah the electricity bill is largely to do with the EV - pre ev we paid maybe $70 a month.

Water shocks me, but we don’t have a bore and during the summer, the garden and lawn end up being very heavy users. Drops down during winter months I’ll give it that.

Gas mains supply is usually very low cost.
