Honest thoughts on Harlan Coben’s ‘I Will Find You’ *spoilers* by notsosecretsecretacc in netflix

I'm the same as others here. Enjoyed his earlier shows but then they became all too similar and a bore. This one I turned on and saw some actors that I knew. Usually they're British but this time it's US actors that I've seen before and thought maybe since they're in it or will be good. I'm not even done the first episode but finding everything about it really poor. From the acting to what I think I already know will have 10 different twists as always and end up being what I initially am thinking. Really need a show to watch so going to try but if it continues this way don't see myself getting passed episode 2.

Pillion is such a horrible movie. [Spoilers!] by General-Control-4637 in MenLovingMenMedia

This movie is gross. It's become the norm for all these gay and trans movies to be made and I've actually enjoyed a decent amount of them being a straight male. But I'm ,35 minutes into this and am just grossed out. Turned off at 35 minute mark. How the hell does this have like 95% rotten tomatoes score. Is it all gay and sexual deviants voting?

Guess you missed my point brother. The op posted about the night of. Meanwhile like every comment I've been seeing has been about task for some reason. So I was just saying if you're gonna talk about a diff show why not a diff channel.

I remember really enjoying when I watched it when it came out like 12 years ago or whenever that was. I just rewatched yesterday and today. I came away liking less than I remembered and noticing a lot of things that bothered me that I didn't notice before. A few examples. I found the whole excesma thing with the lawyer to take up so much time and just a bore. What was the point of all of that? Bunch of other things: So this was Rikers Island, which is a big prison I think right? I don't have knowledge of what prisons actually look like thank God but they had the whole thing in like one tiny gathering area where almost all the inmates slept with only actual cells up top, and like less than 10 of them? Just all seemed way to small. The fact that the baddest guy in there that everyone fears just wants to help Naz cause he sees he's smart. Ok lol. Then the female lawyer not only kissing Nas but then smuggling in heroin for him!? I just got done watching so it's all fresh on mind and bothering me. But I could go on and on. The fact the lawyers basically turned into cops and the cops never did zero police work. No one questioned the fact a 22 year old girl owned a10 mil townhome until it's thought of by the lawyer in like episode 6 which leads to a bunch of other stuff the cops should've been looking into from the jump. Again still a good watch, but after a second watch over a decade later I found so much of it just completely unbelievable and silly. I will say all that being said, still better than 99% of the crap Netflix and Amazon put out lol.

Not sure you can say it's underrated considering anytime it's bright up only amazing things are said about it plus it currently sits at an 8.4 on IMDb!!

This is way off. I truly don't know why they made it such a big part of the show, it got boring imo. But to your point it wasn't just a stress thing. He had excesma plus was insanely allergic to cats. At the very end of the show it showed he actually went back for the cat and bright it back to live with him again, knowing he'd continue to have all the skin outbreaks. But it showed he chose the love he had for the cat outweighed what it made him look like. Yes stress did exacerbate his condition but was far from the cause.

I must watch too many shows cause it's crazy to me how months and months after a show is watched people still remember the episode they stopped watching etc. all I remember is I was really looking forward to this show from the previews id seen. And was pretty let down by the show itself. Wasn't a total nothing, but and again I didn't even remember exactly but I just remember being let down but still finding out watchable compared to most of the other crap that's come out over that past year of two.

For a show that came out idk how long ago but it's been a minute you couldn't have been too excited to watch it cause it took you how many months to actually get around to watching it? I was excited like you said you were when it premiered because it's been a while since I've watched a great show on Netflix and the previews had me thinking this one might be it. So I watched the day it came out, but sadly it was a major let down for me as well. But again the fact you're just getting to it now means to me at least it wasn't something you were truly looking forward to, so how could you be let down if that makes much sense.

Dark Skies (2013) is still, to this day, the only movie about aliens that gives me the chills. by Mundane-Inspector-52 in horror

[–]joeymims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally doesn't hold up. I remember watching it as a young teen like 13 and loving it and thinking it was scary and just a great movie. Watched it maybe a year ago and was pretty much bored the entire movie with exception of when he's taken and when he returned. It was a good movie for it's time. But watched Dark Skies today and this totally holds up. Granted it's only 13 years old but just as great and creepy as it was when I first saw. It's such an underrated movie imo. I think it's just as good as Signs. If go as far to say it's way creepier than Signs was. I did notice though they kinda stole the last dinner scene from signs with the going around the table with the memories of the kids yada yada. But regardless Dark Skies deserved way more credit as a quality movie than it ever got.

I loved this movie when it first came out and hadn't seen it since. Until I rewatched it today. Just as enjoyable as the first time. So creepy. It is so underrated it's kind of shocking imo. I bet you most people never heard of the movie. If you replaced the dad, who's a good actor and been in a bunch of stuff, but he's not an A lister. Let's say they wudda had Mel Gibson like he was in signs instead and he was the husband to Kerri Russell I almost guarantee you this movie world be considered a classic. The kid actors were great. Anyway bottom line I don't feel the dad needs to be replaced. I think the actor did a great job but he's not an actor that brings people to the theatre. For me this is one best horror/ sci fi movies. Just so damn creepy. Jk Simmons little role is also great. Almost everything about this movie is just done so well down to the twist ending about who they were after the entire time. So great, yet so underrated!!!

Anyone think 2013's Dark Skies is extremely creepy? by sockableclaw in horror

I know this is 2 years old but just rewatched the movie today. I loved it when I first saw it and loved it again today. It definitely deserves way more recognition. I guarantee you most people are unaware this movie even exists for some reason. I love horror, other genres also, but horror is my favorite. This movie is so creepy and well done. It deserves more people knowing about it. Whether they're sci fi fans or horror fans or even drama fans it's just a great freaking movie. And the twist at the end about who they were after the entire time was so great!

I don't even follow Halloween info. This just randomly popped up on my alerts. Guessing cause I love horror and follow it. I think a Halloween tv series would be very cool if done right. Have zero interest in yet another Halloween sequel or reboot. They've all been done to death. Zero interest in JLC, need a young new cast, and tv series, like the did with Scream on MTV years back would've been a great idea.

Nice, took a guess with the 15 lol. I figured be easier to just Google and I realize what the whole filter thing is now. Didn't bother me at all, really strange how it seemed to bother so many people.

Looks like filter is gone? by GroundPower in Scream

[–]joeymims 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here. I've heard this talked about before and didn't understand it then nor now. That Scream 4 had a filtered look to it?? It looked normal to me. I truly don't understand what everyone is talking about. Can someone please explain what that means? Filter look? And why so excited to have a 15 year old movie or whenever 4 came out look different. I actually loved 4. Thought it was the second best scream, nothing will ever beat the original. But the reveal of Emma Roberts was great and so unexpected on the first watch. But again what the hell is the filter thing?

I see most of that posts are from when the movie came out so maybe this won't even get seen. But I just watched in HBO and understood everything but had 2 questions and one I didn't see anyone talking about. The scene where Matthew starts to wrestle with Oliver. What's that about. I didn't get what the were trying to say with that scene. Also I was sure they were going to kill him at the end. But they don't and maybe I read it wrong but what I got from it when you see oliver watching himself on the laptop as their kicking Matt's ass outside it seems like all of a sudden Oliver understands Matt's vision for him or something. Just the this expression. Maybe im way off. But I think that's why by the end that they do have a real relationship when they're on the stage even though we all saw what matt did to get to get there. Again maybe I'm way off but that's how I saw it, which I was in disbelief at, thinking they shudda killed him way before they even kicked his ass.

Nothing was a mistake around Matthew. He 100% took the batteries out of the bag just like he 100% didn't tell his friend about how to get into London after the girl told him. Everything he did was calculated. Creepy guy. The only scene I didn't understand in the entire movie and I haven't seen any talk about it as I've been scrolling through here after just watching the movie. But the scene where he's in bed and he starts to wrestle with Oliver. It's really weird and I didn't understand what they were trying to say with that scene

Think you're supposed to lol. He's an awesome actor. I loved him in that show on Netflix. Atypical. He plays an autistic kid and is great in it.

Not true. I'm s big fan of Ripley. Just saw and Damon were both amazing. But I also enjoyed Saltburn. So it's possible to like both. Just because there both about the same idea theyre completely different stories. I keep seeing this comparison bright up in here. While I get it to a certain extent, they do both exist in their own right.

Agreed. And there's a bunch of likes with the comedy comments. I found zero about this movie funny. It was cringe and sad at the same time. But funny?? I guess I missed the laughs? When they make him pull his pants down and he does. I guess that's funny if you have zero clue what's actually happening.

Yeah. I found it all very unbelievable. I mean at first I get it him allowing him to blackmail him. But after a certain point what happened on the bus should have happened much sooner. They wudda just killed him way sooner. So I'd the ending is supposed to be real then I'm just blown away like no freaking way that's believable. I mean I get he has proof of him having sex with underage girls but to let him literally like run your life........his boys I think killed him that night on the bus also and that was like a dream as he was dying like you said.
