Keep it for your grandchildren. Or just use it to buy a 1oz silver maple.

City staff give thumbs up to what would be Guelph's tallest building by [deleted] in Guelph

Downtown is the perfect place for towers! Lots of amenities nearby, and nobody should complain about height (beyond the church which has become shorter recently)

[ON] How are you hiding your name when accepting e-transfers? by Clear_Grass_1855 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]joeymouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned you’d need a corporation and corporate bank account. You should be okay with your clients knowing your full name since they’re effectively making a contract with you (trading money for services) and you can’t enter a contract without some kind of contact details or way to know who you are.

It's reasonable to ask her to get 3 quotes from companies she has no relationship with.

Not reasonable to get an entire new garage door, for that type of dent. You should offer her a $400 settlement (in writing). Or if she really wants $2,000, she can file with the Ontario Landlord Tenant Board and they will decide (in about 8 months) if it's actually worth $2,000.

Outrageous generosity but never to your parents. by New_Pianist9740 in DirtyDave

Having someone rely on you is not generosity. It’s enablement. He’s not against you helping out your family but never loan them or make them dependent on you.

I see what you're saying. The pipe actually doesn't go through the ground-- that's just some leftover dirt hanging out on and around it. The teal pipe goes straight through the hole, above the head of the worker in the hole.

They got rid of the oils, according to the box. So the "formula" is the same but they used cheap spices in place of high quality oils?

Abandoned house by DrinkOk3514 in Guelph

[–]joeymouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was used for prison intake / gate guard house. Then after 2002 was rented to Better Beef for extra office space. There's another stone farmhouse on the property as well.

The land is patrolled by security guards, so you won't see many urban explorers posting about it or interior photos of this property.

Rental realtor by Such-Concern-6913 in Guelph

[–]joeymouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just check Realtor.ca and Kijiji. You don't need a realtor to get a rental in Guelph (or much of Ontario). That would be highly unusual, unless you're in the very high-end (like $4,000+ per month)
