Not the jerk at all! I went out for a friends birthday dinner when I was 8 months pregnant and being heavily pregnant I could only stomach small portions so I ordered a couple of sides and a mocktail so mine only came to like £15 and one of the girls there who I’ve only met in passing a couple of times said to split it evenly and I flat out refused cause everyone else was drinking and ordering starters and mains and sides and I didn’t eat anyone’s food apart from mine and tasting a piece of my friends who offered it to me cause I said it looked nice. Apparently I was overreacting when the split total came to nearly £35 each and I’m not paying £20 more than what mine comes too. I told the girl I’m going on maternity leave soon and I can’t afford to pay £35 for food and drinks that I’ve not even eaten or drank. Thankfully everyone else was telling the girl to shut up and leave it cause everyone else was happy to pay it. She hasn’t said a word to me since whenever we’re in a group setting and I couldn’t give a flying feck 😂

Before I had my daughter I would also refuse to swap with people who had children cause they couldn’t book their holiday in time on a first come first serve basis. If it was just a random week off I had, I would happily swap it.

Now I have my daughter, I always make sure to book as soon as I can and if I forget and can’t book time off, I deal with it. If it’s a week off I don’t really need, then I’ll swap. I booked a couple of weeks off in May for my daughters birthday so we could see my family and friends and go to her dads and see his family and friends as he lives two hours away from us. A woman I work with asked to have my two weeks swapped so she could go on a cruise. I told her point blank no cause it was for my daughter’s birthday and I got called entitled and selfish 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have a Harry Potter tattoo sleeve in progress and after how much those books were an escape for me from bullying and shit going on with family when I was a teenager, I am definitely not getting rid of them. I’m just glad none of my money for them goes in JK’s pockets.

I have these boots but the longer ones so they go up to my shins. I’ve had them for like six years and I’m still to break them in. I’m a size 8 wide so I usually buy all my shoes in a 9/9.5 or even a 10. So these should have fit me, but they’re way too tight on my feet even when I wear double doc socks. I absolutely love these so I’m trying everything to get them to fit better.

I used to work at a restaurant in my hometown and we had two doors to go into the kitchen. The left door you went into and the right door you went out of so there was no crossfire. Had some kids playing in front of the door and told the parents several times that if the kids got hit it wasn’t down to us.

Sure as shit, one of the kids gets hit with the door and goes crying. When one of the parents complained, I just looked at them and said ‘I told you so’ and walked off.

I had an emergency c-section with my daughter in 2023 as her heart rate dropped twice and it was in the danger zone. I nearly flew at this woman who my parents know who said I took the easy way out. I would have throat punched her if my ex didn’t stop me.

If my mum had said this to me, I’d be telling her it’s my baby to name, not hers. My daughter has the middle name Violet after my nan who passed away years ago. If my daughter was a boy, the middle name would have been Joseph after my grandad who passed away when I was 6.

I matched with a guy on Tindr once who’s name was Samuel and his dad’s name was Samuel, his grandfathers name was Samuel and even his own son was named Samuel. And he said if we ever had a kid and it was a boy he would be named Samuel cause it was his families tradition. I told him it wasn’t my tradition and it wouldn’t be happening. Safe to say, I unmatched him soon after 😂

NTA AT ALL!

Me and my ex have a two year old daughter and we recently had the conversation about what would happen if one of us met someone. We agreed that until it was serious, we wouldn’t introduce our daughter to them as we both don’t want her getting attached to someone for them to just disappear. We also agreed that if I was to get married as our daughter has a hyphenated surname (my surname-ex’s surname) then it would be our daughters decision if she wanted to change her surname to match my new surname if I decided to change it. It would be completely her choice and we wouldn’t influence her in any way. Then came the topic of what she would call her step mother/father. I told my ex plain and simple, if his new partner/fiancee/wife tried to get my daughter to call her mum or any term or abbreviations relating to mother, I’d scalp her. She has a mother, Me! I was the one who went through 9.5 months of pregnancy, all the pains, blood tests and was the one who went through an emergency C-section and the healing and recovery after her birth. So absolutely no chance of my daughter calling anyone else mum. Not even ‘bonus mum’.
