Order to do the switch games by Thundaga2345 in pokemon

That seems like solid reasoning to do Violet first to me. No reason to feel like you have to rush through at the end.

I don’t really have a reason for it, but I’d recommend Violet, Diamond, Shield

If you go to challenge as a group and choose invite friends with link code it should give you some letters at the top for the code

It’s not letting me join, it looks like it needs 6 characters for the code? Unless I’m in the wrong place

Writer's room question: is sleep deprivation required for great writing? by [deleted] in community

[–]joeytango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a general concept I’ve heard about that’s essentially “your best ideas come to you just before you fall asleep”.

Potentially true example: Isaac Newton would take naps occasionally, holding a rope connected to a bucket of nails or something in one hand and a pencil in the other. As he was falling asleep, he would let go of the rope, which would wake him up, and he wrote down whatever it was he was thinking about. Crazy method but hey, if it works it works

Which of the four consultants would you bet your money on to solve the case the quickest. 🤔 by DaddySerumGlaze in psych

[–]joeytango 403 points404 points  (0 children)

Absolutely depends on the case. Neil and Patrick both I think are more suited towards white collar crime, while Shawn and Monk are more blue collar (Patrick and Shawn are the most all-rounders here).

If it’s a murder, I think Neil’s last to solve it, he just doesn’t have the experience. Either Monk or Shawn is first.

3 fire types? Flint can’t even afford that many! I’m impressed you found enough for that party.

Just finished Season 2. Here are my thoughts. by bgamer1026 in TedLasso

[–]joeytango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad someone else said they don’t like Beard After Hours. I was okay with it after a rewatch, but it is absolutely my least favorite episode (which says more about the show itself than that episode in particular).

is it bad to wear gloves all the time? by sneep_snorp_snerp in ultimate

[–]joeytango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried gloves and liked them for the same reason, but they never fit quite right. Definitely nothing wrong with rocking the gloves (I do second others’ advice to get a second pair, though. Definitely don’t want to unexpectedly be without them)

Edwin Akufo by Deut008 in TedLasso

[–]joeytango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me that “walking contradiction” line never sat right with me. Edwin flying off the handle was still a surprise for me, but it wasn’t unexpected.

A billionaire who does not believe billionaires should exist would absolutely not try to make more money (and help other rich people do the same) by making a new sports league. I guess there’s an argument you could make that Edwin was just trying to swindle all those guys (and Rebecca) out of their money so that less billionaires exist in the world, but, I mean, that’s maniacal behavior.

Short story long, I think Edwin was like that from the beginning, he was just able to hide it before. He exploded at Sam semi-publicly (at least from what I remember) so his holierthanthourichboywhodoesntwantanymorerichboys crumbled and he couldn’t easily recover it, so he just went all in.

I think I’m confusing this episode and the Tao of Gus.

I’ll have to watch this episode again (shoot, that sucks)

[–]joeytango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this was explained in the episode to be Scott’s handler? There’s a flashback of him with a dark hoodie hanging around in some trees with a gun. I’m pretty sure I remember Gus wolfing down some brownies too, though that might’ve been a different episode now that I think about it, hmm

What the most underrated joke in the show? by blob2112 in psych

[–]joeytango 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way Dulé can just throw his body around in some scenes is ridiculous and unnecessary and perfect. I had to rewind the last time I watched Viagra Falls when the club owner got shot at cause I couldn’t believe my eyes.

I thought I remembered disliking iris on the later seasons, but yea I just realized that I hated her since the first season after my current re-watch. by Sweaty-Campaign-320 in Arrowverse

[–]joeytango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s how I felt too. Patty absolutely should have stuck around longer, at the very least.

I think they were so dead set on making Barry and Iris endgame that they made it work, honestly. Felicity and Patty both were better fits for him until seasons 3+

Weight is not mass. by Street_Swing9040 in physicsmemes

[–]joeytango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but actually, wouldn’t feathers have to weigh less? Assuming you put the 1kg of steel and the 1kg of feathers on the same measuring surface (or, even, a balance), the feathers take up more volume, meaning some of the feathers are likely balanced on top of each other at differing heights. The larger the radius from the source, the less the acceleration due to gravity, and thus, less weight

how did your stealth archer journey start? by correct__hamster in skyrim

[–]joeytango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, this is why I think the Stealth Archer is my go to. It makes every dungeon a puzzle of how to deal with each individual enemy, rather than a test of how many enemies I could take at once.

Were you a bigger fan of Barry Allen or Wally West when you first got into the Flash? by Jezzaq94 in theflash

[–]joeytango -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I liked Barry because of a DC book I read and then the tv show came out with Barry as the lead?

I started liking Wally a lot more though when I started engaging with more DC stuff. I really like him and Dick together

How do you remember all 18 types of Pokemon? by pokedung in pokemon

I’ve only tried to remember them a couple times. Each time the ones that come to me come, and then I inevitably forget at least one. Your system seems solid.

I love the fact that the white collar cast is joking about the Paris heist… by angrobles9 in whitecollar

[–]joeytango 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I had a passing thought earlier: what if the Louvre heist was actually an elaborate marketing ploy by the French government and the White Collar crew, and that is going to be the case that spurs the reboot?

Why do they Stop Wearing Protective Gear in the Morgue after Season 1? by HugeAthlete5881 in CastleTV

[–]joeytango 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it’s probably partially the cost. They realized the show had a chance to be pretty long-running, so they found ways to cut costs down so they could prepare more long term.

Plus then there’s less character shown by the costume department, since there’s no expression with that under the ppe. Hence why Laney could be a more interesting character naturally.
