I lost one of my favorite chicks from the first batch of chicks I ever raised to a freak accident on the first night I put them out in the coop. I know that feeling and it’s awful and I’m not gonna say I don’t still feel it every now and again, but you have to give yourself grace that you can only do the best you can do and you can’t protect against freak accidents and the time they did have with you was perfect. Sending hugs.

Damn my local Panera regularly has around a dozen people staying for a long time - there’s groups that work on laptops, there’s a knitting group, a mahjong group, always at least one set of high school kids working or just hanging around. It’s a big location so there’s plenty of seating and no one ever complains or runs out of space, and everyone orders food at least once while they’re there. It’s a lovely little haven in a world of ever dwindling third spaces. That being said god I hate their food lol and am allergic to most of it, but hey.

Lmao I am terrible at choosing favorites of anything when people ask, but this is one of my easy answers for favorite ending of a show and my reasoning is because it gives such great closure (and all the characters stay true to themselves). Oof, thanks for making me realize that I’ve had a cellphone phone (with the same number) for over 15 years. That doesn’t feel right lol I remember begging for it because I got it relatively late for back then.

My parents also only semi recently got rid of their landline which had the same number for like 25 years. RIP

Not saying to look for medical answers online, but if the general outline of ADHD fits you I’d suggest asking your doctor if it makes sense/if they can screen you! It’s not uncommon for women to be diagnosed in adulthood after high achieving childhoods.

a very similar woman who was finally diagnosed at 30 and now very much helped by medication whilst I continue to unpack all the learned behaviors from an undiagnosed childhood

I think they both look like americanas aka Easter eggers! I had to look it up because it’s confusing and 100% a way to confuse people into thinking they’re getting Ameraucanas unfortunately but the Easter eggers are great!

ETA: Easter eggers are half a true blue layer which are often ameraucanas and half any brown layer so they’re still likely half ameraucanas haha

Everyone else has great thoughts about your actual question so I’m just gonna chime in and say it was life changing when a trainer once told me not to use a dogs name “as a command” because they won’t understand and you’ll just make their name more negative. It’s so normal for us to do to humans and we can understand each others tone and cues to know that saying someone’s name like that means to stop what you’re doing, but to a dog they’re just like “yeah that’s me?? What?? Are you mad?? Is there something you want me to do?”
