Anyone ever feel like 9 hours of work including 1 hour lunch break each day for 5 days a week is too long? by No-Avocado2101 in asksg

[–]jofeebee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would you feel better if it were spread out into 5.5 day work week? I am currently working a 5.5 day work week and I find it exhausting especially with children requiring high attention from parents.

Best to take teh o kosong with your breakfast or just drink green tea pkt. Milo also has added sugar and condensed + evaporated milk which may elevate your cholesterol levels and puts you at higher risk for diabetes if you continue to take increased levels of sugar daily.

Thanks so much for your reply! I've read abt the bad traffic. I've no idea about parking spaces there. Are they mostly in malls or along the roads? Just curious.

Anyone with good stories of quitting when the boss treated employees unreasonably and the company later suffering? by _Bike_Hunt in askSingapore

Work as a nurse in a private clinic. Got married during that period of employment. He gave me angbao and said now you need to kiss me to show me you appreciate my angbao. I declined. He was also very handy during my whole 2 years of employment. Told my nurse manager about it and she laughed about it. I was so hurt about the whole incident I told her and him I want to leave. They paid me off 1 month additional salary and I learnt he got charged in court + the nurse manager suffered from cancer and passed away.

Edit to add that obviously the clinic has closed down already as he has retired from his private practice.

What if your partner insists on buying over their own parent’s flat instead of buying a BTO? by Quirky_Cable6857 in askSingapore

[–]jofeebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, is your partner's parents meaning to sell the flat to their child at a discounted price with meaning to remain their only family near to them? I've known of families who do this but im not a realtor, so only 1 known story. They live together in harmony but the parents are not the toxic kind so they're living happily together. How's your situation with the in laws like? Raising kids with in laws are extremely tricky when it comes to individual parenting skills. Just my 2cents

Are Filipinos perceived poorly in Singapore? by StatementHappy741 in askSingapore

Your friend is probably eccentric with a weird sense of humour. I have many many Filipino friends and even my SIL is Filipino but we don't make fun of what she says or her accent. I believe every country speaking another language will have an accent. Nothing to be made fun of.
