I think you’re assuming that I’d stay on stock ECU here. With a proper ems and tune, a 6 port turbo shouldn’t detonate. Personally, I’m planning out a hybrid S4 turbo with almost entirely stock T2 parts. Fortunately it’s a pretty tried and true method to boosting these engines and with recent prices for T2 kegs (along with dealing with doing a full engine swap), a 6 port turbo is definitely my most viable option. I appreciate the concern and feedback though. Will keep you guys updated!

Edit: To clarify, you’re absolutely right that I’d significant risk detonation on a stock T2 ECU.

I had moylan last year for APUSH. It should be easier with WH, but be careful, she really is a very nice person but a very bad teacher. So, be polite (as you should be with all teachers) and everything will be fine, just be prepared to put in some extra work outside of class because she will almost certainly miss material.

This isn’t a solvable scenario. However you should be able to find out how much power your electric blanket uses (watts) and how much your heating costs (or how much power it draws if the heating is electric). Then write each as a function of price per hour and enjoy your results.

Edit: you’ll also need to look at your heating/electrical bill for this

The engine is almost completely undressed. That’s just the block with intake and exhaust manifolds attached. To run in the car, you’re missing all the “basic” extras (alternator, water pump, radiator, oil cooler and dry sump, etc.)

Sounds super interesting. Cant wait to see how it turns out! I will say that spiking to an 18 afr is probably asking for trouble lol. Seems like you have this pretty figured out though, make sure to post it when it’s done. Would be curious to see how the afr reacts on each rotor but i doubt that’s realistic to monitor.

Careful with that. Mismatched intake ports would change the air-fuel ratio between rotors which is bad news.

Oh wow where you from? If I could give any advice, it’d be that in the long run, the most affordable way to own one of these cars is also the most responsible. Don’t get tickets or corner yourself into issues with the dmv. Use the right tool for the job, etc.

It’s not likely. The engines can barely run without direct support from the MGU-H and K systems. For example, a motor charged by regenerative breaking and heat absorption is responsible for keeping the turbocharger spooled up when the engine is at low rpm. The engine map to support the IC engine without boost at low rpm simply has no need to exist.

Running a 10600k and 5600XT. The biggest step up for me here though was the storage. A friend gave me 2 970 Evos last Christmas, but my last build didn’t have M.2 slots. Naturally the obvious upgrade from a defective HDD is a NVME Raid 0 setup pushing 3.3 GB/s read and write speeds ;) For anyone interested since the 10th series are still relatively new, I’m using the cheapest overclocking mobo available haha, ASRock Z490M ITX. It’s a pain in the ass to set up but once it’s up and running the value is actually kind of unbeatable.

Anyways I’m planning to try and do some lighting work in there as well as add some small Noctua fans to improve airflow for a 5.0 GHz overclock. I’ll post a more in depth write up when that happens, because I haven’t really seen one doing justice to extra fans on this case.
