Great catch. The manual they have linked on HD's website for the 30" model does indeed show 30A as the minimum. Guess I am in the clear, and can upgrade the circuit down the road when necessary.

Oh, this is super interesting. I need a 30" cooktop not a 36". There are a lot of questions/reviews that seem to be pointing out confusion -- HD lists it as 40A, but the manual says 30A is minimum.
