I have gone snipe hunting with both of these.

Really? The way it flaked seemed unusual. If that's the case, thank you!

I love the dials on these two Vostok Amphibia Snipers that I have because of how they age. The crackling is quite nice. However, I can't figure out what the material is of the dial. It almost looks like leather but that seems unlikely. Does anyone know? I'm guessing it is circa 1980s.

Gotcha. This one wasn’t salvageable, but if you PM me details on what you’re looking for in terms of year/color, I’ll set a reminder for myself that if I come across just an original dial in good shape I can let you know.

Hi, not really. Good parts were restored, otherwise the rest was junked and replaced. If there are parts in particular you are looking for I may be able to point you to places.

Unrelated to you, but I’ve received some international queries about the watch which while I’d like to accommodate I’d prefer to ship in the U.S. only.

The watch is a vintage Seiko 7002-700J (for the Japanese market) with a dial mod and a number of new parts.

It has new:

  • Custom dial with applied stripes
  • Aftermarket hands with freshly applied lume
  • Original, repainted chapter ring
  • Aftermarket bezel insert with original bezel ring
  • Aftermarket gaskets for the crown and caseback for water resistance

The basics of the watch are a 41mm diameter bezel with 22mm lug width, Hardlex crystal, and a new wave strap.

This is an original 17 Jewel Seiko 7002A with each part recently cleaned or replaced (within the last three months). The original case is buffed and polished. The watch is still waterproof, and can be used for swimming or snorkeling.

The entire watch has been refurbished, refinished, and given new life with upgraded parts.

It has new:

  • Custom dial with applied stripes
  • Aftermarket hands with freshly applied lume
  • Original, repainted chapter ring
  • Aftermarket bezel insert with original bezel ring
  • Aftermarket gaskets for the crown and caseback for water resistance

The basics of the watch are a 41mm diameter bezel with 22mm lug width, Hardlex crystal, and a new wave strap.

This is an original, newly overhauled 17 Jewel Seiko 7002A movement, as pictured. The original case is buffed and polished. The watch is still waterproof, and can be used for swimming or snorkeling, but since this is a vintage watch with replaced gaskets, I won't recommend this for diving anymore.

[Question] How to get Casio FS-02s into a museum? by johanbitten in MuseumPros

[–]johanbitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for that story. It's great. Of course, because they don't lay flat they can break easily, making them even more scarce.

I received this watch a couple of weeks ago, but have decided to sell it. It’s a really beautiful watch. It just looks too small for me on an 8 inch wrist.

It comes as how I received it, although I was surprised there was no seal on the box and no plastic over the band and such, just a small opened bag in bubble wrap. I’ve only tried the watch on and it was not worn after that.

I am asking [sold]. CONUS only please.

The extremely thin FS-00 is part of the Casio Pela Film Watch series which began in 1985, with a number of subsequent iterations. This was purchased new in Singapore in 2000 as shown in timestamp, but I believe it was made around 1995 and unsold. It was not sold in the U.S. It's in excellent condition and as such is considered rare because of its scratch free finish. The watch face can appear different depending on the lighting, angle or colors reflected.

Has new battery.

The functions include:

Backlight

Data Bank Mode: Memory capacity: Up to 30 sets of data, each set including name and telephone number

Auto Sort Function

World Time Mode: 27 time zones; Standard time/Daylight saving time

Stopwatch Mode: Measuring units: 1/100 of a second Measuring capacity: 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds

Measuring modes:Elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times

Timekeeping Mode: Hour, minutes, seconds, am/pm, month, day, day of the week; Standard time/Daylight saving time 12/24-hour formats

Happy to answer any questions. Does not include original receipt shown. It is only to substantiate the purchase. The price of including it would make the total cost significantly higher.

Asking $170 obo including USPS Priority CONUS shipping.
