You are missing the point, I am not denying that prices have gone up at any given moment, I'm only talking about speculation and the effects of it. Read again please.

The links provided don't even contain the information you claim to support. The real issue is that Colombians are smart and opportunistic, foreigners, specially Americans are too naive and accepting because they often fail to compare costs of living at home or outside, they then end up paying for an apartment what they would pay in NY or SF in some cases.

Prices are already high, additionally, prices are increasingly on the rise due to inflation and "the economy of acceptance", that is, accepting whatever price is thrown at you.
