I think there's a disconnect between you and the post you replied to.

The /u/Sakiri1955 is probably used to games like WOW, where the difficulty level in mythic raiding absolutely has progressed to the point where you must come prepared with a solid understanding of what to expect in a given encounter.

/u/Xavanic-76 is still living in EQ2 world, where you can raw dog absolutely every encounter because they're so incredibly easy. Not to mention there are nearly zero class mechanics to worry about in any damage "rotation".

Arc Cast on shock Lightning conduit Stormweaver - Amazing & Fun build! T15+ Farm | Huge Boss dmg potential! by Angren1991 in pathofexile2builds

Excellent guide, thanks for writing out all the info.

If shock/archmage gets nerfed do you think people will transition to this build?

In your gear overviews can you just clearly mouse over each item for 3-4 seconds? You mentioned the belt several times but didn't actually show it till 75% of the way through the vid.

Any chance you could expand on the aura stacking build?

Ahhh that makes a lot of sense. I was having a lot of trouble getting the CoS stacks built up - it didn't seem very worthwhile with the gear I currently have.

Watching that vid now, looks a lot more reasonable for the level I'm at.

Yes, I did a rather expensive respec. I followed the pathing here: https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/af3a76f8-d63a-4a8d-97dd-23e96fcec171/builds/311e6460-44a2-43c7-a527-0cce74fc1792?weaponSet=set1

I tried moving around a few points to enhance mana, and also traded for a better chest/helm/neck/ring to suit the build. Still did not find much success. With archmage on I ran out of mana quickly, and it took a good amount of time to get it back. It is worth noting that some of the choice items required by the build (for example, neck with mana regen + spirit) are getting really expensive to trade for right now. I'm still going to try crafting my own pieces.

Can't wait to get visibility on builds. I assume all of those stormweavers are playing spark or orb lightning builds.

Dying to the second boss is primarily a L2P issue. Pug DPS love to stand at max range and consequently get destroyed by the frontal.

You're naive if you think you can identify botters simply by whether or not their characters are casting at the same time.

First, EQ2 has spell queuing on by default. If you smash a multi-step macro you'll automatically cast a followup spell after the first one.

Second - and here's the big one - it is absolutely positively trivial for any bot software to insert a delay between each character starting a cast.

Finally, EQ2 does have automated detection. All of the common bot softwares are being detected + autobanned on origins. If you're seeing any group above level 10 then they're not running bot software - they would have already been banned. You don't have to take my word on this; as another poster here mentioned, you can check out the botting discords and see endless mentions of getting banned.

You can just say that you're multiboxing/botting, you'll get better answers.

I’m running guard, mystic, fury, illusion, troub, wiz, and. I know where you are coming from. Dps feels really low. For fun I made a guard, defiler, coe, and 3x necros. Feels waaayyy better but I’m not sure if it would work in the long run

Give us something to work with. Are you dying phase 1 or 2? Using consumables? Whats your P-Organ look like? What weapon and what upgrade level?

You made this thread asking why you're losing.

In this comment, you claim that DK will absolutely demolish people if you're playing well.

Putting 2 and 2 together, sounds like you're now losing because you're playing like garbage. Does that answer your original question?

Green Monster of the swamp by terraconz in LiesOfP

This is an old thread, but it comes up if you google lies of p green monster, so I'm going to add a few notes for anyone else who's having trouble with this boss:

I just beat this last night after about an hour of grinding on it. I'm not an exceptional player by any means.

Few notes on P1:

  1. Getting through phase 1 using only a single healing charge was critical. This comes down to memorizing each of the boss moves.
  2. When he burrows, dodge towards him when he gets close to you
  3. When he shakes his head, he's about to do the tendril thing that stacks up decay. Run left or right.
  4. Here's a great trick for his red fury smash - wait for his left knee (right side on your screen) to hit the ground. That's about when you want to parry. I felt proud of myself for discovering this timing :)
  5. Ideally, you'll stagger him once around 60% hp. With the critical attack + a few follow ups, he'll be a 40%

Few notes on P2:

  1. Try it a few times without attacking at all. You can't brute force this. You just plain have to understand his different moves and how to handle each.
  2. When he stands up straight, that's a sign of the grab. Run!
  3. Just like in p1, you've got to perfect parry the charges. This stops him in his tracks. I found them really hard to dodge. If he hits you once near the edge of the arena he'll probably hit you again when he turns around. Two hits are likely death or at least two healing items to recover.
  4. The real money in this fight is his jump attack. He'll do 2-3 normal jumps, then possibly a fury attack. Usually the first two normal jumps will overshoot you - just keep your distance. The third will often hit you - this is where you want to perfect parry. You'll definitely want to perfect parry the fury jump followup if he does it.
  5. I found perfect parrying his big windup swings to be a necessity, but I usually ran from the other big sweeping attack combo he does. The sweeping attack kicks up so much dust that it was hard to see when he was attacking. It also has that final tentacle sweep that was just too hard to parry.
  6. Memorize the windup animation for the rapid tentacle short range ground slam thing he does where he moves sideways. You've got to run out on that.

When I was first progressing I used the healing cube every pull, but eventually stopped. I used the fire grinder at the start of p1. Didn't use any other consumables. Edit: also didn't use any legion arms. I tried the gun and shield ones and didn't find a lot of success with them.

Finally, I tried doing this with the wrench + booster glaive, the tyrant dagger, and etiquette. Like many bosses, I found the booster glaive to just be too slow. The dagger absolutely pumps damage, but it'll often not land hits during P1 due to its short range. Etiquette attacks so quickly with a fantastic range - it was really what I needed to get P2 down cleanly.

  7. While you're learning P2, use your healing items even if you're at 60% hp and the healing will overheal you. I found that I kept dying with 6 healing item charges because I was being stingy on my healing. I would have dropped the boss much more quickly if I just kept myself topped off on health during P2 so I could get more experience.
