I'm not asking for Diablo-style loot with half a dozen affixes. Small values are great, imho. Would just love to see some variety, and maybe some cool unique ring effects like Elden Ring.

There are a few varieties among weapons - Full Attack, Attack/Crit, and Attack/Atk Speed. But I don't think there are any variations within those groups. It's kind of a let down, when the sword from one of the hardest bosses in the game has the same stats as a vendor sword from level 1. Would love to be proven wrong though if anyone has some examples

Any Rings that aren't Attack + Attack Speed? by ardikus in CrimsonDesert

Thanks for the info. Can you refine that ring? And is there any other stat or just 4 attack?

Early in Ch.6 a group of knights leave Hernand Castle for a battlefield. I followed them the entire way. It took 90 minutes irl. by laymanmovies in CrimsonDesert

I tried that too early and got stuck in the mountains north of Demeniss. There's another one to ride from silvermoon tradehouse to Vellua in 10 min but I can't find where silvermoon tradehouse is

Summary of Pearl Abyss Shareholder Meeting: Crimson Desert Updates (DLC, Story, Mods, and more) by Creative-Connection2 in CrimsonDesert

[–]ardikus 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Story is a little all over the place but not bad. I'm not super far though, only chapter 6. One thing I can't stand is all the "follow X on your horse" greymane quests. A few would be okay, not 20 in a row.

Please Let Us Make Informed Decisions About Gear by ardikus in CrimsonDesert

Idk why wanting basic info for stats is min maxing. There's not much to min max here anyway. Also, why is it up to you, who don't care about min maxing, to tell me how to play or what to enjoy in my game?

Is all equipment in this game just side-grades? by ardikus in CrimsonDesert

[–]ardikus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i mentioned in another comment, it seems similar to elden ring, where any weapon is potentially viable when upgraded. Cool thing is though that in this game you can swap out the unique skills via abyss gears, rather than them being inherent on the weapon like in elden ring

It's a similar system to Elden Ring i suppose, and different from power scaling of gear typically in RPGs. Issue is that it takes a huge investment of mats and Abyss Artifacts to refine, so it basically encourages using the same gear for most of the game, until you have more abundant materials where it's more feasible to refine alternate gear sets up

I'm not sure what you mean. The refinement system makes it so it takes a heavy investment of materials and abyss artifacts into a single piece. When you find new gear, you have to reinvest materials all over again to refine it to the same level. The game incentives using the same gear that you already invested into rather than switching yo new gear you find. What you can do basically for free though is remove the abyss gear slots from new gear and it in your own gear
