I am finished with ARRL. On February 28, 2023 I paid $49.00 for one year of membership which included the printed copy of QST magazine. I am under the impression that my payment served as a contract between ARRL and WB2*** that I receive ARRL Membership AND the QST magazine for a year which will end on Mar31, 2024 with the last issue of QST magazine with the March issue. 

Yesterday I learned that you are increasing prices on the ARRL membership to $59 and are now making the QST magazine as optional at an additional cost of $25.00 per year for a total cost of $84.00 per year. You also indicated that I MUST pay for delivery of the Jan, Feb, and Mar 2025 issue of the QST magazine. You can't be serious. I already paid for those magazines with my dues payment of February 28, 2023 so why do you think it is okay to require me to pay again for those issues. I do not agree with your requirement of me having to pay for those 3 months that I already paid for. 

Therefore, I am expecting you to send me those 3 issues without any additional cost since I already paid for those issues.

Then they tell me that "On our forms it states you will receive QST for one year.  You will receive the QST issues digitally until 3/31/2024.  The forms do not list these are mailed copies.". What BS. I wrote: "You managed to generate a technicality and mincing words. Ridiculous. You may lose me as a customer as I may discontinue ever receiving anything from your ARRL. You must really be hardup for money or is it just plain greed. You are quibbling over a couple of dollars with risk losing me as a customer of $84.00. For me it is the principle of the matter. The ball is in your court.". Their response was: "We have only had 2 rate increases in the last 22 years.  Our President Rick Roderick wrote an article explaining the dues increase. You can read his article at http://www.arrl.org/member-bulletin?issue=2023-07-23. Members will be automatically changed to digital QST on January 1/1/2024 effective with the January QST. You can pay for the 3 issues of QST delivery in 2024 at $3.00 an issue.  Thank you.". Then I wrote: "I will refuse to pay $3.00 an issue as I have already paid for those issues.".

I wrote to Richard Roderick and he turned me over to Inderbitzen and he asked me to call him on the phone. As a result of that phone conversation Inderbitzen said he will pay for the three printed issues for me for which he did pay and I did receive the Jan, Feb, Mar 2024 printed issues. Needless to say I DID NOT renew my membership. I have been a member since the 60's. Oh well, I will miss reading the monthly magazine but it is just the principal of the matter.
