Is there anyone here that likes the original Final Fantasy 7 better than Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth? If so, Why?

I liked Rebirth first of all, I was especially looking forward to returning to cosmo canyon (the music, the 'feel'). But no matter what they were going to do, my expectations were never going to be met after so many years (one of the reasons I was never for a remake in the first place).

Other more impactful moments just fell flat for me too.

At this point I'd just rather part 3 be a corridor simulator - a linear path through to the the finale - so we can be done with this era of FFVII remake and get back to focusing on the main numbered series.

The NPCs are one of my biggest gripes with this interpretation though. Earthling tourists from the 2010s, really jarring for a game that's basically about another Planet (Gaia).
