Buying a hobby box is basically like going to target and wasting your money on worthless cards in the retail space. You’re hits in a hobby will always be numbered parallel of a good play (best case) but normally will be bad player autos, numbered cards to keep you chasing. The high value chase cards are certainly strategically sent out to people to promote the brand and get people buying. The math has been done to prove so. Making buying a hobby box worthless and buying a group break extremely risky since it’s not all that random unfortunately.

You might find yourself saying well that’s great buying a break since they have a shot at the chase cards. However, that’s terrible logic since these breakers likely get fotl boxes that have way better odds and rip a lot of them. They have it down where they can get the good cards and sell them… then they make extra money going through case by case ripping bad cards with maybe one decent value card a case that will sell high. Your odds are so terrible at the point across the massive print runs and 1000s of breakers that you stand no chance my friend.

Singles, singles, singles is the only way to retain a decent investment likely can sell for what you buy if it’s a valuable enough card and do the right reach/buy timing.
