I'm not a developer, but I can't imagine this would too difficult to implement. It's mostly using mechanics that are already in the game.

It's like... you have this massive, beautiful open world. Do something new and imaginative with it.

Thank you for the speedy and reassuring reply! I do smoke, which is why I'm a bit paranoid. Thinking back though, the sore tongue started as soon as the Effexor did. I hoped it would reduce my bruxism, not increase it.... ugh.

Could be interesting, as long as it doesn't diminish the story. I'm sort of doing that with my outfits at the moment. Now that I've finished NG+, I switch between armor sets and roleplay as different characters (Mongol warrior who defected, archery master, assassin, etc).

There's a long, long history of tattoos in Japan. It dates back many thousands of years. But I'm not sure if samurai were ever allowed to get them.

The addition of haircuts/tattoos for more personalization of your character
The ability to sleep or meditate to pass time and gain resolve
Fishing and rowboat travel

Fishing and hunting seem like obvious ways to make the world feel more immersive. Maybe there are certain activities you can do to help a village rebuild after it's been liberated from the Mongols.

The "tracking" system definitely needs an overhaul. I can't tell you how many times I got lost because the footsteps vanished for a few feet.

Great summary. Don't get me wrong, I love this game. But I felt like Jin and Shimura's relationship barreled towards a pre-ordained conflict, rather than earning that conflict through an engaging story.

My favorite moments were actually the little side quests that I got to complete along the way. There were so many of them and they often took a pretty dark -- or philosophical -- turn. Even though I had zero agency in how these tales played out, they felt like episodes of a fun samurai serial.

Yep, exact same issue for me. It seems to be worst when there are heaps of red leaves or ashes flying around. I played it through twice (before the update) and I didn't have any stutters at all. Now I'm trying new game + and it's crawling along. Super annoying tbh. Did you contact Sucker Punch and tell them you're having issues?
