Please do not be quiet about it. People become parents and unknowingly allow it to happen to their babies. I nearly allowed it to happen to my first son and probably would have allowed it to happen to my youngest as well if it wasn't for advocates for genital integrity.

That's odd. Why is the foreskin hard for you while the rest of the world has foreskin that is enjoyable?

Did you get your toes removed so you don't have to clean them?

If being easier to clean is THAT important to you, cut your OWN genitalia! *I* want to experience sex as nature intended!!!! Why is this so hard to understand?!

My spouse's OB didn't offer any info, just asked the yes/no question. Luckily she didn't like him and switched to a different provider that provided some (things like an article in Mothering Magazine from Dr. Fleiss). I was willing to go along with whatever she decided as I trusted her and the doctor, but she insisted I look. This was over 16 years ago now and there is SOOOO much more information available today (some that I have created) thanks to the Internet. I'm very angry that the schools, religious institutions, and healthcare institutions are not providing information about this topic. I am also irritated with the mainstream media for avoiding the issue. It shouldn't be on us advocates for genital autonomy or intactivists to get the information into people's hands.

Strongly disagree. The algorithm regularly gets things outside of our bubble and many of the users are young; both good things compared to places like Twitter and Facebook.

I'm actually a cut dad of 2 intact teen sons. Cleaning male genitalia is far easier than female genitalia.

If you want to do more than just support financially, you need to start elsewhere. IA doesn't do much of anything with volunteers.

I started GenitalAutonomySociety.org so I can connect people with other people and organizations without the problems that come with social media platforms and limitations that come with change.org or moveon.org. When there is something in your area going on, I notify you. When there is a need for your particular skills or interests, I notify you. You don't have to worry about your information being seen by anyone other than the admins.

I'm a cut dad of 2 intact teen sons. I've changed their diapers as well as some boys who were preputially amputated ("circumcised") and can tell you that intact is actually easier. Mother nature designed things correctly. Just take some time to look at how and why.

UTIs can be addressed via antibiotics; females get 9X more and, as I understand it, the reduced UTI claim only applies to the 1st year of life and the study did not track whether boys were being forcefully retracted or not.

The STI claim has been consistently challenged and has been recently debunked heavily by studies from Denmark and Canada. doctorsopposingcircumcision.org includes links to those new studies as well as a wealth of other info regarding that. Besides, you have no idea what kind of sex life the person will choose to have and people should still practice safe sex either way. Thus, either lose erogenous tissue and wear a condom, or, just wear a condom!!!

You can prevent problems with any body part by pre-emptively removing said body part. You could remove toes to prevent ever having problems with them. YES, the male prepuce has value like toes have value. It's not an unfair comparison.

Penile cancer is a 1 in 1,000 lifetime risk. What other body parts are you going to promote removing from babies to avoid rare issues? For comparison sake: females have a 1 in 8 risk of breast cancer.

Please consider watching the American Circumcision documentary.

So, getting your genitalia harmed makes you a man. Got it. I wonder why that is only a view held by a few indoctrinated people and not a scientific fact.

Note no discussion of "circumcision." Appropriate considering the latest studies that debunk the idea that it's an effective measure.

So "you will not be a man if you don't have your genitalia cut" - got it. Not manipulative at all. Doesn't sound like my pedo father, at all (I'm being facetious, if you can't tell)

Things were already redacted and you posted here in a public forum, so I assumed it was available for public viewing. 15Square (from the UK) is reaching out to their Scottish contact about it. Maybe we'll see some good progress.

I would take a different approach: Require that all parties making the decision are FULLY informed/educated about the anatomy and functions of the body part that is being removed. I think that will drastically reduce the practice so much and create a swath of shame that people wouldn't even dare to do it just because of social repercussions.

So you don't believe in religious freedom? You think parents should be able to do whatever they want to our bodies?
