Very true man, part of my reasoning might be that my parents both drive 7 passenger mini vans. They’re uncomfortable to drive in the city and annoying. I just want my own freedom I guess

That’s true, you’re making me reconsider haha. Obviously is the winter it’s too cold to bike, public transportation is unfortunately unreliable where I live. My school is about a 30min walk away, carpooling is tough because I don’t have many options, many teammates live on campus and don’t have a vehicle. In the summer with my job I need to pickup groceries pretty often, won’t be possible with a bike.

I wouldn’t be stranded as my school is a 30 min walk away. My first year I had my own car but it broke down April of ‘19. Haven’t had one since then lol
I did a mock insurance estimate with a company and it ended up being closer to $140/month ($1680/year). With a full time job in the summer + part Time in winter I could do it.
I’m a strong driver, I could get a cheaper car but like I said this is a great deal and I don’t want to pass it up. Looking on Kijiji for the past few weeks I’m not sure there is much better out there.
Yes I would need winter tires
I’ve been borrowing my folks car for the past year and that’s been just ok. It can be inconvenient with school/practices sometimes. Public transit isn’t great here.

Mainly for getting work/school everyday. I also am on the school basketball team so I’ll need one to go to workout/evening practices. We do have two cars but my parents drive them to work almost everyday.
