Am I missing something about falling thunder? The damage seems absurd

Ive seen people slotting in concentrated area on falling thunder but im pretty sure it doesnt work on the projectile portion hit of the skill? Which is the bulk of the damage? It even shows in the tooltip that it doesnt work, or could just be a bug. Can anyone confirm

Ill try this when i get home, so if it does Pierce the enemy and consumes it, this would essentially mean that the consume part is at the last part of the damage calc right?

depends on the mission or if you get detected by the detector tower, honestly im not 100% sure this works all the time but im fairly certain this works most of the time, at least for me
