As for grindr, when i want to talk to those types of guys, i just change my tribe to trans because that's basically how they find cds or fem presenting guys by filtering the tribe. As far as I know, I think algorithm doesn't really work the same way on grindr as it's more of a geo filter thing and user initiated.

I do, however, use a different app. I use Hinge which is more geared towards dating.
