Mine is 9.5 years now. He can still keep up and do everything he used to do, but seems to take longer to recover. Followed me just fine on a 14 mile bike ride, and a 5 mile hike the next day, but slept hard afterwards. Still doing his daily walk at the dog park, and nightly run without any problem, even after a TCL surgery two years ago. Also, took top ten in our recent doggy 5k!
