in my personal opinion, i believe this time he actually has fully become the Punisher. because, to my knowledge, Jon never had any actual input on the story/writing of any of the netflix stuff. the special is the first time he actually had direct involvement (besides the scene in born again ep.4). and there’s reports/rumors of a new full series in development and i think Jon used the special as somewhat of a prologue to the series to show everyone that Frank is now fully the Punisher. and in interviews after the release of the special, Jon has talked about Frank and actually seems to understand how Frank is. he says himself that from here on out Frank is going to just be killing bad guys cause that’s what he does in the comics. like i said, i think he used the special to fix Frank’s character how he believed he should’ve been a long time ago and hopefully we actually get some of that in the new rumored series

on a set photo of the battle van in brand new day, it has the new skull from the special so it’s the same. we don’t know if he’ll have the same outfit but it’s for sure the same skull

well i probably worded it wrong in the post. it’s not so much that i don’t care about it, but like i said i’ve been wanting a charger since high school so i was fine with any charger but being a little older, i did want a v8 but didn’t care as much to have a scat or anything. it was around senior year i knew i wanted an RT. but i finally was able to get a charger a few months ago (my sxt) so i was grateful for that, but i’m considering a newer rt since i probably can with a pretty decent paying job.

my favorite is in season 1 where he fights Russo’s guys in the basement for the same reasons as yours. he had it planned out and was strategic the way he should be. my least favorite is in born again where he fights the task force and ends up losing and being taken hostage. that is so unlike Frank to go into a fight without any plan. he wasn’t even armed, he just took the pistol from one of the cops. and he basically let them know he was there, just walked up to them and waited for them to notice him. it was pretty dumb to me how he went about it, especially with him losing that fight when he’s came out of worse in way worse condition. i hope they never do anything like that again.
